Gene is a SPECTACULAR dog trainer. We got Hilde and her brother when they were 2 months old, she had a strong fear reactive personality and we began to notice not too long after getting her. She had an extremely hard time just walking down our street because she wanted to go back to the house for her “comfort zone”. Hilde was scared of almost everything, except people. She was born that way and her brother was showing no signs of the same behavior. We wanted her to become better so she could be a confident and happy dog. We came to Gene when Hilde was around 3 months old, he recommended we do the 7 day training, which we thought would be too little but ended up being perfect. He gave us all the information and training for both Hilde and us, the owners. Gene explains everything very well, and shows you step by step on how to train properly. We just finished the 7 day training. Just going once a week, Hilde was able to grow from being a scared puppy to being a confident, brave, and well-trained puppy. My boyfriend and I are beyond thankful for Gene’s training and teaching. We were given all the information and training that we needed to be able to continue training Hilde on our own. I highly recommend Gene for anyone looking for any type of training, Gene is very open and will help you out with anything you need to know.

We were very frustrated with our husky. We had tried multiple classes at pet smart twice and had seen no improvements at the completion of both. She was very stubborn with training nothing would stick. We couldn’t take her out publicly to several places. We were struggling with potty training and waking us up in the middle of the night. We instantly saw a chance in behavior after the FIRST SESSION!! He surpassed all our expectations and corrected all her behavioral problems and even made her into a service animal! He not only corrected her but explained and gave us great tips and instructions to train at home. He is very good! Will always recommend!!

We have an 11 month old Doberman Pinscher who we were so over. She was such a handful but Gene taught us all the tricks. He spent so much time with everyone in our family. It was something so important for all of us to learn together. The way Gene looks at the entire training process is brilliant. He's so intelligent and knowledgeable about all things dogs. It was also really cool to see how he bonded with our pup and how in-tune they were when they worked together. He's the one and only "Dog Whisper" I highly recommend Crank's Custom Canines!

I cannot stress how good Gene is in not only training dogs but teaching the owner how to make sure the training sticks at home. When I got to Gene my Belgian malanois puppy was 4 months and an absolute pyscho. He would pull on the leash like no tomorrow. Bark at absolutely everyone and other dogs. And he was also uncontrollable inside the house. Gene helped me so much and my dog is so well behaved now. Absolutely no pulling on a leash and he learned how to heel properly. Inside the house he is calm and well behaved. Additionally, Gene taught us recall that has gotten so good I can have my dog off leash and have 100 percent confidence that he will come if I call him. We're so happy we found Gene at Crank's Custom Canines. We have a 2 year old rescue dog that was an absolute WILD CHILD!!! We were pretty much at our wits-end on attempting to train her. We had her evaluated by another trainer who basically told us our dog was beyond help. After our initial evaluation at Crank's Custom Canines, we knew we had found the right trainer. Not only did Gene spend quality time training our dog, he spent time training US! Believe me, we needed a lot of work!
