Cripple Creek Retrievers

Our retriever, Lettie, just graduated from gun dog school at Cripple Creek Retrievers! This was very hard for me, as my best friend trained my last dog at RW Training Kennels and owned the sire to her. Unfortunately, Georgeanne Wimberly, was taken too soon by breast cancer. When she was unable to continue her gun dog program due to her health, she started referring to Cripple Creek. So when it was time for Lettie to go, I knew this was the place and she was right. JC and his team are top notch. Clean and well oiled machine! Lettie was well cared for and received excellent training! They are prompt with communication and updates and very fairly priced. Our girl fell in love with her trainer, Sam, who affectionately called her “Lettie Spaghetti”….that nickname will continue on! It’s so hard to leave your puppy, it’s almost worse than your kids first day at daycare, yes we cried!! But by our first visit, it was clear that she was in excellent hands and loving school. I know she was a bit of a challenge, but Sam continued to work with her and get her to where she is now!! I can proudly say, she retrieved her first dove the day she came home. We plan for her to return next year for a tune up before dove season. If you are considering Cripple Creek for your training needs, I highly recommend them. I’m so thankful Georgeanne planted that seed several years ago.
