When I first learned I was getting a lab puppy, I did research on where I could get my puppy into classes as soon as possible. Bacall and I went through the puppy classes and full obedience classes with Cara and Bre. It was a very successful program. Bacall was a very determined puppy and young dog and without this comprehensive training for both of us, I would have given up on her. At almost 2 years old now, she is a very manageable and pleasant dog. Bacall also stays in Cara’s kennels when we are out of town. She has stayed anywhere between a weekend and up to 3 weeks. Each time Bacall is well cared for and the environment is loving and very clean. You can tell that Cara and Bre really love dogs in her kennel and training programs. I totally recommend Crossroads School of Dog Training to anyone who has a dog!

Cara is such an exceptional dog trainer and business owner. She helped my husband train our German Shepherd (Luka) over ten years ago and we would have been lost without her advice. My husband went through the entire obedience training with Luka which resulted in him being such a well trained dog. She helped us understand and deal with his sometimes aggressive tendencies. We now have a Goldendoodle and she is helping me train him. I didn’t even question whether we would go back to her for training our next dog. It is such a good investment and all the training and knowledge Cara shares is invaluable. Her love of animals is so apparent in everything she does and she is passionate about training us humans in how to raise up the best dogs.

Having been through MULTIPLE trainers in the valley before finding Cara, I can attest that she is the best of them all. From teaching my girl that basic obedience can be fun without treats (🙃 thank you to the other trainer that convinced my dog to ONLY obey with food *heavy sarcasm*), to helping me change bad behaviors into healthy ones. No joke, I drive 1.5 hours one way specifically so I can see her and receive her training. It's worth it!

I started my training with my German Shepherd at Crossroads as soon as I could. Puppy classes first, then obediance classes. The trainer was amazing in every way, teaching both my dog and myself how to handle situations and how to extend my training on my own. My dog is only 1 year old and I get compliments on how well behave and sweet she is everywhere we go. I cannot recommend Crossroads School of Dog Training enough.
