Crossroads School of Dog Training

We adopted a 5 month old dog that had no socialization and was terrified of everything. We thought we had made a mistake in bringing this dog home so we went to Cara for help. She individualized the training for our dog and helped her so that she was no longer terrified of everything, and obedient on top of that! We had such a great experience that when we got a second dog, we immediately contacted her and said “when can we start training?” We took our older dog back for some refresher lessons (because we didn’t keep up with practice at home) and it helped immensely. Cara has so much patience and experience. I recommend her to any dog owner!

Cara is an excellent dog trainer and a true professional. I had a great experience being able to work with her. Not only does she teach the dogs, she also teaches the owners how to establish themselves into firm and fair leaders. We started off taking my German Shepard to puppy classes after Cara shared how important socialization is for a dog(once a week for about a month). After puppy classes we immediately enrolled my dog for obedience lessons. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to the dogs body language and was always willing to make adjustments to meet the needs of my dog. She provides access to training videos that you can revisit after a lesson. Cara was always willing to work with my schedule and was super flexible if it came to rescheduling. She truly cares for the dogs and the families that she serves. I cannot recommend her enough.

We have a working dog that is an unusual mix of breeds. He needed a great deal of training and we needed confidence to handle him. Cara provided weekly training, videos, and advice when we needed it. He is still a working breed and needs our time and energy, but due to our training we understand his behaviors and are equipped to deal with them. Cara also boards dogs when they have been through her training and this has been very helpful when we are out of town. She is one of our dog's favorite people! We would highly recommend Crossroads School of Dog Training!
