Crossroads School of Dog Training

As a first-time dog owner, and raising a puppy from 8 weeks old, I was desperately searching the internet for training methods. I found a myriad of opinions, ideas, and techniques, and many of them were contradictory and unclear. In the first year and a half, I think we tried them all, and most of them worked to a certain degree, but not to the level we expected and needed to live happy together with our fur baby as a family. We were finally referred to Cara Putnam’s Crossroads School of Dog Training, and enrolled our male Labrador in adult obedience classes, and it changed everything. Cara do not just train the dog; she trains the owner on how to train their dog. To learn how to be the Leader and how to praise desirable behaviors and to correct undesirable behavior has made a tremendous difference. Cara said to trust the process, to be consistent and persistent, and it is absolutely paying off. I recommend Cara 200% and wish I had come across her website first in my google searches and had the opportunity to enroll our dog in her puppy socialization training. I strongly believe it would have set our puppy up for grander success earlier in his life.

Cara is an amazing lady and has helped us with our puppy Buddy so much! It has been many years since I’ve had a dog of my own and it is so nice to be able to have someone to guide the whole family to have a successful addition to our family! As we all know puppies are a lot of work and I knew I needed guidelines to raise one! Cara is compassionate about all that she does and it shows! Thank you! Cara was amazing and I loved my experience there with both of my boxers. She was thorough and taught me at the pace that I needed. It was worth every penny and she’s the only dog training we recommend to people. Her dog boarding is top notch as well, both of our dogs were always happy when we came back… their behavior was always better too! We loved getting pictures while we were away. Cara’s program helped us learn to handle our dogs better and we are grateful for the experience.
