Very knowledgeable and understanding. Flexible for most (if not all) lifestyles and accommodations. Very well at adapting knowledge and training skills to fit the needs of the pets and the owners. By no means is Crouse Canine training “one size fits all.” Everyone has own training schedule and goals and he meets you where you are at. Group sessions are educational for everyone involved, not just the pet working at any specific time and are also goal oriented to each person/pet, not everyone will be doing the same skills and/or tasks when it gets to be there turn to work. Very individualized and makes you feel like you are heard and recognized instead of feeling like just another person in a classroom.

Excellent experience. In-home training 1-hour sessions every other week tailored to meet our needs with a rescued pup. After five months we have fully resolved her separation anxiety and have experienced great improvement with her fear of strangers. Derek has extensive knowledge of dog behaviors and psychology and has taught us how to work with our dog daily to improve her obedience in general. He is obviously passionate about helping dogs and equipping their owners and cares about making progress in the program. It has been a worthwhile investment and we are thankful to have Derek in our county! Update: after almost 9 months of training, our rescue earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen designation! Thanks Derek for all your help with our dog!
