Cultured Canine Dog Training

Annissia was recommended to us by my best friend. She had trained her dog a few years ago and he is very well behaved. When we brought our 8 week old Malinois home we started looking into trainers while waiting for her to be fully vaccinated. Those first few weeks were a serious struggle and our little girl was already a brat. At 12 weeks I finally decided we couldn't wait any longer and called Annissia. She was so understanding and helpful after just one phone call. She really knows and understands this breed because she owns them herself. She explained what we were doing wrong and how to correct her excessive biting. (normal maligator behavior) After many more phone calls and text messages we had our first private lesson. Annissia took the time to show me how to teach our girl what was ok and what was not. She explained why our pup was acting the way she was and what we needed to do to correct unwanted behaviors. Our little girl is now 20 weeks old and is a completely different puppy. We send her at least once a week every week for daycare and train with Annissia and recently we also did a short board and train for a few days when we were out of town. Our pup always comes home happy and more relaxed. She went to the vet today and the tech took her into the back to get a shot. The tech came out and said she was the most well behaved Malinois she had ever met. She was calm and curled up in her lap when she gave her the shot and didn't even flinch. None of that would be possible without all the hard work and help from Annissia and her crew. We can't wait to see where the next step in her training takes us!

Cultured Canine absolutely exceeded our expectations. My husband and I brought our 9-month-old labradoodle for a 4-6 week training and the value was undeniably fantastic. We were nervous to leave our puppy for so long when she hadn’t been crate trained and has serious separation anxiety, but the trainers at CC were extremely responsive and texted us whenever we requested an update. They gave us detailed feedback about our puppy’s progress and sent us videos when she learned new skills. When we came for our training sessions, our puppy had clearly learned a ton, and the trainers were such good teachers for us owners, too. Our puppy has been home for a few weeks now and as long as we keep up the instructions the trainers gave us, she seems to be retaining her training super well. We now know how to refresh our puppy’s knowledge on certain skills by using our own training, too— but one of the biggest perks of CC is that we get access to lifetime training refreshers (and that our puppy gets complimentary training touch-ups whenever we board her with CC). Needless to say, we would recommend CC to anyone who needs a dog trainer — it’s worth a drive, even if you live far away. They are the best!

Quite frankly, I’m amazed at the results. I have a four-year-old French bulldog, Thor, also known as Mr. Potato. Thor was relatively well-trained; however, he was inconsistent and had trouble socializing with other dogs, as well as listening to commands around other people. I could not believe the results after having spent time training with Cultured Canine. I always thought Thor was pretty happy before, but now you can tell that he really is settled in his position in the pack. He understands the commands and follows them. The overall energy of the house has changed because Thor is much calmer. Cultured Canine did an amazing job—I cannot say enough. At first, I was unsure as we decided to board Thor with them during the training, but the results were absolutely fantastic. This is a group of people who really love dogs. I thought Thor was beyond hope, but they worked with him, loved on him, and really helped him become the dog he is today. Cultured Canine helped Thor move from living a chaotic life to being a well-behaved companion. I can walk down the street with him, and there’s no problem—no pulling, nothing. They put me at ease, and it was great to know that my dog was loved by his second family. Thank you !!!!

Cultured Canine is wonderful and the team goes above and beyond to show care. They treat dogs with kindness and get to know their personalities. The communication is excellent and the facility is clean. Also, offering training along with boarding is a big plus. Going out of town?
