Cupids Doghouse

**UPDATED REVIEW** As with any dog as they get older, they begin to change and present new behaviors. My dog is hitting 2 years old and he beginning to want to be the "man of the house" and presenting starts of aggression towards my other dog. Given that I am previous customer of Cupid, I sent him a text explaining what was going on, and within a few minutes he had presented me with advice as well as offered to come and implement behavior modification training, if I chose. Cupid was t my house within the SAME WEEK walking me through how to respond to this new behavior and how to practice the steps of getting my dogs to tolerate each other again. Once AGAIN, the anxiety that arose from this unfamiliar behavior was quickly put at ease as Cupid was thorough in walking me through the why of this behavior. Beyond thankful to have a trainer that I can consistently rely on for help as I walk through all of the changes in my pups life. That lifelong policy really is amazing. Cannot recommend him enough and will be a forever Cupid's Dog-House customer. Cupid's Doghouse has given me peace of mind and the foundation for leadership to continue training my dog!! I have a 1 year old German Shepherd, Jax, who struggled with walking on a leash, barking and lunging for other people or animals, and just overall obedience of a shepherd puppy. I had a lot of anxiety about taking Jax out on walks or anywhere in general. I had previously enrolled Jax in an obedience school before Cupids, and it was a horrible experience with no progress. I knew when I first sat down with Cupid that this would be the perfect program for Jax. Cupid is extremely open about how he trains his dogs and breaks things down so you can understand exactly why he does the things he does. He is tough on his clients because he knows that we are capable of upholding the training that he lays the foundation for, and has definitely helped me gain the confidence to handle my dog. Cupid and his sons also hold classes after the training program to maintain the training, help with any issues that may arise after the dog goes back home, and to help work on new goals! He is phenomenal at communication even after the dog leaves his program and is constantly checking on progress and is only a text away if I ever have a question. I have gained a lot of confidence in training my dog through Cupid's program. I have had by dog back from training for about 3 days now and I can already tell such a difference. I am not longer anxious to take Jax out on walks and I am confident now that I have the correct tools and leadership skills to continue the training with Jax. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience with Cupid's Doghouse and would recommend them to everyone. Cupid truly cares for your dogs and wants you and your dog to succeed! I am now excited to practice training and work on meeting the goals we have for him!

A positive review for Cupid’s HOME VISITS. Home visits are an exercise in teaching owners how to train their dog. Cupid is the teacher for the owners, who in turn become the trainers of their dog. You will watch videos, have Q&A/discussions, practice WITHOUT your dog, and have homework. Cupid does NOT come to your home to work training miracles on your dog himself. He will teach you the skills to do it YOURSELF, if you put the work in. That being clear…our hiring Cupid for home visits was a game changer. His visits/classes gave us a window into understanding our rambunctious 9 month old Dutch Shephard and the ability to better control him. We struggled for months with methodologies of training before Cupid gave us the knowledge , tools, and plans to properly lead and control the neeest member of our family. Our experience with Cupid was (and will continue to be) about learning to truly grasp the needs and needed control of our dog. Cupid’s Dog House is more than just a business, it’s his passion! Someone who truly loves his work and his dogs! We had the opportunity to have Cupid’s Dog House at our elementary school. During his visit, he talked with our students about respect and responsibility. While doing so, he demonstrated respect and responsibility with his lovely pup, who was very sweet and loving.
