What an incredible experience! We just completed the 3 week board and train program focusing on off leash recall and general obedience, and WOW was it wonderful! Meredith is truly a gem! Her approach to training is thoughtful and customized to the needs of each pup and the training goals you set at the beginning of the program. Not only did my pup learn to be the best boy, he gained so much confidence in his abilities and is so proud to show off his skills. Bonus? Meredith is a superior trainer who has mastered state of the art training methods. Her approach aims at much more than just having an obedient dog. Meredith uses a complex, layered approach that first develops the dogs ability to be focused and emotionally engaged while keeping the dog happy and highly motivated. Obedience training then builds upon this base. Our dog was a strong-willed two-year-old rescue doberman who had been abandoned in the countryside north of St. Helens. We had just six weeks before spending a week at the coast with beach walks and hiking. We needed a reliable recall so Axel could be off leash on the beach and on hikes. Because we were still developing a bond with him we didn’t want to do board and train. So, Meredith had to train both us and Axel. She was focused, kind, and patient when teaching us and Axel the many steps to a motivated, reliable recall. The result of her training: Axel was more bonded with us and we had a great, relaxed week at the coast. He recalled every time in a wide variety of situations. Our dog, Azuki, was very nervous, reactive, and she couldn't stop barking. We sent her to a three week board and train and we are sooo happy with the results! We've had our dog back for almost a week and she is so noticeably improved. We're implementing the lessons she learned at "camp" at home and we are breezing through training, since there was such a strong foundation applied at Curated Canines. One of the most important things to me was how Azuki looooved her main trainer, Meredith. She gives Meredith so much love and affection when she sees her - you can tell this team really puts their heart and soul into training. This is an incredible program and I can't recommend it enough for all the nervous dogs who need some extra confidence!
