I’m soo glad I decided to board and train my dog with Dan! I have a 3 year old pit bull that is extremely reactive and anxious. I honestly didn’t think she was gunna do good. Boy was I wrong! After sitting in the consultation for 10 minutes my dog was already listening to him. The classes they proved teach both you and your dog how to communicate with each other and make things way more manageable inside the house and outside the house The staff also worked with my work schedule which was also a big deal I also seen all sorts of dog there, big, small, old and young. Seemed like no dog was a challenge for their team! A huge thanks again!

We have been going to Dan Perata for many many years now for our pup. Our dog has done the board and train and also is a regular for boarding there! I really love this facility because everyone who works there really cares about the dogs and I have a lot of trust in them to leave my dog overnight. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a trusted dog boarding facility that’s going to keep your dog safe, treat them well, and keep them well trained!

When I brought home my special "shut down" pup from the pound, I really needed help with training. A friend of mine recommended Dan Peralta Training. Dan was great to work with. Training absolutely made a difference for us, and I’m speaking from our own experience—this wasn’t just talk, it was real progress. When we started helping Autumn, she was in bad shape. Dan walked us through his process step by step and explained what to do in the moment, not just general tips. One thing that really stood out was how he talked us through getting Autumn to go outside to potty. He guided us on what to watch for, how to handle setbacks, and how to stay consistent so she could actually learn what we wanted. By using his approach, we went from struggling to having noticeable improvement. What I appreciated most was that Dan didn’t just give advice—he made sure we understood how to follow through. That support helped us build better habits with Autumn, and it made training feel manageable instead of overwhelming. I would recommend Dan to anyone trying to train a dog. If you want someone who will truly walk you through the process and help you make progress (especially with potty training and behavior issues at the start), he’s the real deal. Dan’s has become a second home for our dog! Dan and the team at DPT have built an amazing training program and support system. It requires a lot of commitment and hard work, but it works, and we’re so glad we enrolled our dog in Dan Camp. We adopted him in 2019 and knew early on that he struggled with fearfulness and reactivity. We had worked with another trainer and learned to manage some of his behavior, but eventually realized we wanted to do more than just manage life with him—we wanted to truly enjoy it. We enrolled in Dan Camp in January 2021.The initial board-and-train gives your dog a strong foundation, while the in-person lessons teach you how to continue that work at home. There are also video Q&As and ongoing lessons after camp, so you have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get help with whatever challenges come up. It’s much more than dropping your dog off and hoping someone “fixes” them—the program teaches you how to build a better relationship with your dog and gives you the skills to keep making progress. Seven months later, we’re incredibly proud of how far our dog has come. We can enjoy loose-leash walks around the neighborhood, go hiking without him getting overwhelmed with excitement, and his recall has gone from basically nonexistent to pretty good. Dan has also helped us make great progress with having guests over, which used to be a major challenge. We still have work to do, but that’s part of what makes DPT so great: Dan and his team are there to support you for the long haul. Fast forward to 2026, we still regularly send our dog to Dan's and he often runs to go in when we drop him off!

I cannot recommend DTP highly enough. We first came to DPT in July 2021 for training our then-17 month old LARGE rescue dog, Rosie, who was found somewhere in the Valley and had been re-homed at least once (we suspect more than that). She was definitely not ready for prime time, despite our best efforts. DPT was our 4th trainer and a game changer. Rosie is now 6+ years old and a really excellent companion. We had not previously done crate training with our other, smaller dogs, so that was a bit of an adjustment. After a few months, we stopped closing the crate and found that Rosie loves hanging out there at various times of the day. On the few occasions Rosie loses all sense of decorum (say, when our 4 yr old granddaughter temps her [unfairly] with a donut) we issue a stern "go to bed" and she flounces off to her crate for a time out. Again, we don't close the crate -- she knows she just needs a quick time out. No drama. We also use DPT for boarding. Again, great job -- Rosie's wags her way in (unlike trips to the vet).
