Dances with Dogs

We learned so much about training dogs in general and, more importantly, so much about our Corgi/Husky Ruthie. You gave us insight about the breeds and also about Ruthie's individual personality. You were spot on and we have used this insight over the years since training. We just go back from a cross-country driving trip with Ruthie from Maryland to California and back. I'm happy to say that Ruthie has a five-star rating as an Airbnb guest! Once in California, we used several strategies with Ruthie as we were in a new place. The best was letting her choose the direction to go for a walk. Your training sessions onsite and our individual walks with you in our neighborhood were essential to understanding Ruthie.

Brittany was instrumental in helping Tessa, our now three-year old Carolina dog, learn to build confidence. We adopted her at 8-weeks old and bonded closely with her. Tessa was very shy and feared unfamiliar items. Brittany taught me games to encourage Tessa’s curiosity and help her learn to be more comfortable when confronted with something unfamiliar. Brittany is patient and knowledgeable in many aspects of dog behavior. Her approach of gentle guidance encouraged Tessa to respond positively to new activities.
