I trained my dog Julie with Daniel, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Julie gets compliments everywhere we go — people always notice how calm, obedient, and well-mannered she is in public. I moved to Brazil and traveled with her as a service dog, and during the entire flight everyone on the plane was amazed by her behavior. Dan went above and beyond with training my dog. I went from avoiding the walks because I had hard time controlling my dog on any type of leash to the companion who listens, responds and is a joy to be with. So thankful I found Dan, he helped me not only train my leash reactive dog but he also helped me understand why she may have been so reactive. What started as my journey to find a way to walk my dog without her pulling me l, ended with me learning more about my dogs behavioral patterns and ways to work with her on correcting them and guiding her to success. Her commands off and on leash are stronger than ever, and she’s gained a lot of patience through our sessions. We worked with Dan to help our 5-year-old German Shepherd, who struggled with reactivity and was nearly impossible to walk. He had never been to a dog park before, but with Dan’s guidance and patience, we were able to successfully get him through the gate at Heather Farm’s dog park. Now he goes 4–5 times a week, has a much better quality of life, and no longer suffers from the anxious frustration of being cooped up. Walking him can still be a challenge, but Dan provided us with practical tools to manage it. He was always patient, responsive, and available to consult whenever we needed support.
