Dapper Dog Training

Jessica is more than a dog trainer. She is more like a family counseling therapist for dog families. For folks like us where kids are not an option, it’s really a gift to have her keen insight and direct communication approach. We brought her in to work with the family dynamics of our resident dog (whom she also worked with 10 years ago) and our new puppy. Her counsel was invaluable to gaining structure and discipline in the house.

Jessica has been a HUGE help for my dog, Teddy! He is a terrier mix rescue, 9 months old, and has been in NYC for about 3 months now. He is very nervous of all of the sounds here- the trucks, buses, street sweepers, as its a big change from where he came from. I was referred to Jessica from his walkers, who he was having some terrier trust issues with. I was having a hard time reading Ted's signals, but Jessica cracked his code upon the first meeting and told me things to look out for and how to navigate his behaviors. After the first meeting alone Ted now wants to go outside! That is HUGE! He would always be very hesitant if not completely refuse, and now he looks forward to our walks. We are on a very clear path for success for Ted, and I am so happy that he is becoming a more relaxed, happier guy. We are setting goals on things to work on moving forward in our follow up sessions. Jessica is very easy to work with, understanding, a clear communicator and empathetic. She is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Not to mention Ted LOVES her! Very highly recommend!
