DareDevil Dog Training

My dog is transformed! I enrolled my guy Bloopy into DareDevil's board & train (12 day Jump Start) program to finally take care of some sidewalk snacking, play biting, and on-leash stubbornness that had been getting worse and worse. We worked with trainer Jess who gave us incredible tips and strategies during our initial pre-boarding training session. He was already taking to it so nicely by the time he got boarded at Jess's place that the rest was a breeze. By the time he got home he was 500% better and our walks have been totally transformed. He seems happier now that he knows what he's supposed to do and I can tell he had a blast in Jess' care. I know it takes a lot of constant reinforcement from us, his owners, in the weeks following. But the foundation he got from the DareDevil Jump Start program is making that so easy. If you live in Philadelphia in an urban environment, I highly recommend this program over other Board & Trains elsewhere. The fact that the trainers live in the city mimics the dog's daily life so they'll encounter more of the everyday distractions and environments they usually do. Couldn't recommend this program more!

Alyssa was so helpful with our little rescue, Ellie. She’s a middle aged dog who came from who knows where after who knows what experiences. Her most challenging behavioral issue was her reactivity towards other dogs on walks. We see many other dogs on every walk, so after a year of trying everything, it was getting exhausting. Alyssa worked with us privately for three sessions and we learned so much from her! Ellie showed improvement right away and has continued to improve. She can’t easily pass a dog right next to us on the sidewalk yet, but she can see a dog across the street or near us in the park without reacting. Sometimes she looks at the other dog, looks at me and licks her lips, knowing she earns a reward for staying attentive to me and not the dog. Thank you, Alyssa 😊

Updating almost a year later just to say we’ve continued to have the same wonderful experience I mentioned the first time around ❤️ __ Can’t say enough good things about this group. Training expertise and level of overall service they provide is top notch. The pup is lucky to have them, especially Jess - it’s amazing to have someone as skilled and trustworthy as she is to take care of his training and boarding (graduates only!) needs. He’ll be going to them for life.

Jess and the rest of the Daredevil team did wonderful with Ghost during his board and train. We got daily updates on social media and frequent detailed email updates as well. He also got a mini spa before he came home. All interaction with other dogs was in a monitored and controlled environment, and he has been much more independent and confident at home since the program. Greyhounds are known to be sensitive and have their quirks but the experience is so tailored towards each individual dog that we didn't have to worry at all.

I’m leaving this review to encourage anyone who’s considering Alyssa and Dare Devil for their pup… DO IT!!!! We have a 1.5 year old small/medium dog who needed help with leash walking and decompression in the house. Our dog did the 12 day board and train program with Alyssa and it is the best money we have ever spent. He walks fabulously now and we’ve walked longer and farther than we were ever able to before - I never thought I’d say this but we really ENJOY walking him now. He also now makes great choices in the house independently, choosing a chew toy himself rather than nipping at our house guests to get them to play (like he used to). He also learned a place command and is doing great with it! AND when Alyssa came for our follow up session 1 week later - I’ve never seen him so excited to see someone! So I KNOW she must have treated him excellently and he really enjoyed his time with her. I read the great reviews beforehand and still wasn’t convinced that our stubborn pup would be as receptive as other dogs, but I truly can’t recommend this training program enough. Alyssa made a dog we were already in love with even more lovable and I can’t thank her enough!
