DareDevil Dog Training

My doggy Drew was the definition of behavioral issues. In fact the owners of the place he was up for adoption at told me he was their longest tenant there, plus he had been returned once already. Alyssa from DareDevil offered to give anyone that adopted Drew a discount on his training (which speaks as much about her character as it does about her faith in the company.) After only a few weeks we were able to walk with Drew across the street from other dogs and not have an absolute fit and completely embarrass me! On top of that he has excellent manners during dinner and will go to his “place” when asked. He is excellent at heel and I have not had him pull on his leash in months. Drew still has some of his flaws but he has come so far from not even being able to see a dog 100 yards away without barking like a maniac to now being able to walk past one a few feet away with MAYBE a whimper. Highly recommend, can’t say it enough - this was the first dog I ever had on my own and he was a challenge but Alyssa from DareDevil made it a breeze!

I would highly recommend Dare Devil Dog training to every pet owner that was interested in training their dog because Alyssa was GREAT with Penny, our Miniature Golden Doodle. We weren’t sure what to expect out of an extended stay, for dog training, but Alyssa made us feel comfortable, ensured us that our dog would be safe and that she would have fun learning new skills. It is evident that Alyssa is very passionate and dedicated to her craft!! We were AMAZED when we picked Penny up, she was a different dog!! She was confident as she demonstrated her new skills, seemed more eager to please as she followed and demonstrated commands. Not only did Penny learn verbal commands, she learned a host of visual commands too. Alyssa taught us, as owners, how to properly handle Penny as well. Who knew... we needed training too. We attended booster sessions with Alyssa, other dogs and their owners they reinforced a lot of the commands Penny learned. It’s been a few years since her training, and I have to say that we still get compliments to this day when people observe us handling Penny. Through recommendations, Alyssa has trained a number of dogs in our area. I will take every opportunity to share my experience with Alyssa because without her, I don’t know where we would’ve been Penny. We, as a family, had an awesome experience with Alyssa!! Alyssa at DareDevil Dog Training is amazing and more than just a dog trainer! I had a rambunctious black lab pit mix that would pull on leash walks, not play fetch, and I constantly feared would run away if she got off leash. When I reached out to Alyssa for some obedience training she was very professional and explained the types of training courses she offered. She even customized the one I selected to include a few additional skills. We met over the course of several weeks for an hour each visit going through different hands on training technics using a variety of tools in different settings. Because of Alyssa’s help training, my dog no longer pulls on walks or gets distracted by other passing dogs. As an owner I feel way more knowledgeable about proper dog behavior reinforcement and she even helped with nutrition recommendations for my dog. I am now completely comfortable with my dog off leash. I love hiking with her now as I’m not worried about her running away or chasing animals. She is able to be recalled on command and is proficient with sit, stay, place, down, walking in heal, and loves to play fetch! She is night and day different and an overall more enjoyable companion and best friend! I owe it all to Alyssa and DareDevil Dog training. As a bonus, she also runs a free monthly dog meet up for her clients that helps with reinforcement and keeping in contact with a great community of dog owners. She even brings her own very advanced trained dogs. Could not recommend more!
