David is incredible. I adopted my dog he’s a German shepherd/ husky mix from the shelter he’s estimated about 3.5 at the time . He was wild lol . I tried two other trainers before David with no results . After the first visit the consultation might I add I was able to walk him without being drug down the street . He stopped when I stopped and when easily corrected was redirected from the squirrels and stray cats that he so much wanted to chase . His approach is very effective and also bonded my dog to me even more . Instead of me feeling like I was forcing submission and a heavy hand that I feared I gave my dog what he needed and in turn my dog reciprocated with the affection and closeness I needed . David doesn’t just train your dog his vast knowledge and natural ability give me what I needed to give my dog his best life and I as well . We have been working together only since May and my dog who had no leash or even basic obedience is now impressing strangers in public with how well trained and behaved he is . I highly recommend David !!

After reviewing more than 10 trainers throughout OC, we moved forward with David and have been very happy with our decision. The first 3 weeks with our Malinois mix rescue were overwhelming. Within 48 hours of contacting David, he came to our home and reassured us that what Charli needed most was structure, consistency, and leadership. His calm and confident approach put us at ease. After two weeks of his board & train, we immediately saw a difference in our dog's confidence & overall demeanor. David provided us with the tools to properly lead, correct, praise, and communicate with her. He emphasized the importance of our consistency with a high-energy working breed. He doesn't hold back on what you need to hear to be successful with the training (which we like and appreciate!). We are 3 months out of her board and train, and our consistency has paid off. Charli now trusts us to lead her and is learning to understand boundaries -- She's a sweet girl, and we're very grateful for David, who taught us how to properly manage and bring out the best in our rescue. Highly recommend David to anyone looking for a knowledgeable & honest dog trainer!

I was at a friend's house and was very impressed with her dog's calm and polite demeanor. She quickly referred me to David to help my mother and myself with our one-year-old goldendoodles. While puppies, we let them get away with quite a lot; however, recently they were becoming increasingly unmanageable for us on walks. David was very responsive and flexible with scheduling and locations for training sessions so that we could work on different issues. Within just a matter of days we already saw a huge difference! Our dogs now respect us and listen, all credit to David, truly a dog whisperer! We just finished our initial 14-day program and are planning on follow-up training sessions if needed. Within just these two weeks, we are now able to once again enjoy taking our two pups out for walks and restaurants and have received multiple compliments on how well-behaved they are. We would definitely recommend David!

We are so happy to have found David /Dog evolution ! We were having such a hard time with our XL rescue, who also had an XL attitude. He went away to David’s boot camp for 3 weeks , during which time David trained us AND the dog. David really connected with Mako and understood his behaviors and Mako loves him like family now. We just wish we would have found David sooner !! He is so knowledgeable about canine behavior .

SO thankful to have worked with David. (And tbh, we’ll continue working w him!) We recently rescued a 5yo German shepherd who was super reactive to people and dogs—and David’s methods did wonders with him. David was the first trainer we really saw a difference with, having had four other trainers before whose methods were not nearly as effective (or effective at all…) We enrolled our GSD in 2 weeks of boarding and training w David, which also included bringing our GSD back every few days to train w us one on one. We saw progress everyday from videos or when we trained together, which just blew our minds. David’s methods are not super conventional but they’re so effective. And if anything, he’s really training both dogs AND owners—and building a stronger relationship that isn’t dominated by a reactive dog that thinks he can just walk all over you 🙂. TRUST the process and trust David- he knows what he’s doing!! (And thank you for being patient w us, David LOL)
