Dawg Phonics K9 Obedience Training

We are in our mid 70's and recently adopted a beautiful 98 pound Golden Retriever from the local animal shelter. Our baby needed some work...as did we. We contacted Trish at Dawg Phonics to help us through the training process! Trish is outgoing, knowledgeable, PATIENT...both with the dog and the people! She is reliable...always shows up at the appointed time. She challenged us...which is where the growth begins. You get your lessons out in the "real" world...which is exactly what is needed! I researched a number of trainers in Citrus County to train my Doberman as a therapy dog. I really appreciate the fact that Trisha does a free consultation at your home to determine your dogs strengths and weaknesses. We did a number of in home sessions and then ventured out. She is able to build confidence in not only your dog but you as a handler. She uses positive reinforcement and teaches you how to continue lessons at home My dog has much more confidence and is even able to go into the court room with me I would recommend her to anyone who has a dog that they want to bring out in public

Prior to working with Trisha, our rescue Brandy was terrified of the world and everything in it, including us! Even after a year, Brandy was a nervous wreck and a flight risk any time we put her on a leash or took her out of the house. It was so bad that we had to trap her just to give her a bath! We were at our wits' end when we contacted Trisha for help. In the initial consultation, Trisha was able to get Brandy on a leash and start work on the "come" command. We were, in short, amazed. We were hesitant about using the e-collar method until Trisha allowed us to feel the collar's current and demonstrated how effective it can be when used correctly. Since that consultation, Trisha has taught us how to help Brandy become a happier, more confident dog. We still have work to do, but we can now leash Brandy and walk her in public safely. She doesn't balk or run when we put her in a harness or on a leash. And we're no longer afraid of losing our baby any time we need to leave the house. We cannot thank Trisha enough for her help with Brandy. She has even incorporated our new rescue, Moxie, into the training walks. She's also given us the tools to help Moxie become a happy, well-behaved dog. I highly recommend Trisha as a trainer, even if your dog "issues" may seem overwhelming. She's the right one for the job!
