Desert Sage Agility

My miniature Dachshund (Finley) and I have been doing agility with Annette at Desert Sage Agility for several years now and I can’t recommend her enough! Finley isn’t your typical agility breed but she absolutely loves it, and I credit that to the environment Annette has created. She has such a profound understanding of dogs, and coaches each owner individually based on their dog’s unique personality and comfort level, as opposed to a “one size fits all” coaching style. We absolutely love the classes and look forward to going each week. 💗

How easy would it be if all dogs were created equal, but that just isn't the case. Annette has applied her training and experience to create a safe, nuturing and fun environment where you can not only safely learn the mechanics of training and sport but, more importantly, understanding your dog and building the trust and relationship that makes a partnership succeed. Small dog, big dog, young dog, mature dog, all are welcome. I got Maisie when she was 19 months old and started agility a year ago for the structure, exercise and to have fun together. She has big emotions and has no problem letting me know when she is frustrated (sometimes with inappropriate behavior). I thought about giving up, but with Annette's coaching, I am learning to work with Maisie's big emotions (and mine) both on and off the agility course. Maisie and I are having fun and becoming a real team.

As a novice dog handler, I could not imagine a better introduction to agility training than with Annette at Desert Sage Agility. We started in puppy training and continued to agility training. Annette's ability to accommodate all human and pup abilities' enables everyone to progress at their own speed...feeling success. Not only do we feel like we have become a successful agility team, but we have gained so many wonderful friends in our classes who support us and root us on every week.
