Dewayne The Dog Guy

Super happy with our experience completing a dog training course with Dwayne. He offered an initial consultation that was thorough and included very helpful insights and suggestions. After that, we felt confident moving forward with a full training course! As not-a-dog-person, I benefitted a lot from the education on what a dog needs to be a happy part of the family. Scheduling and communication were both great.

We adopted a 6 year old dog from the animal shelter. Our dog needed help with separation anxiety, impulses control and basic manners. Dewayne was great and was able to address these problems. Our dog Charlie is a different dog now who listens and walks on a leash great! We still have lots of practice and training to do but Dewayne was able to give us the tools and the knowledge to be able to continue training our boy Charlie.

Dewayne is such a gift to our family. We entrusted him with our sweet puppy for a full 4 weeks of board & train, which was the best decision ever! With his diligent work and continued support after she has returned home, our relationship with our dog has truly blossomed. She learned SO much and gained a ton of confidence as well as skills while she was with Dewayne. On the day he brought her back to us, I nearly cried because I was so relieved and grateful for the transformation. He has equipped us to reinforce and continue advancing her training, making it very approachable and doable for a family with young children. She can now participate fully as a member of our family which was our top goal. We are forever grateful to Dewayne!

FOLLOW UP TO THIS COMMENTS WITH PHOTOS OF TEXT IN ORIGINAL THREAD- but since I wasn’t allowed to respond to his response, since it was all not true, here is more further knowledge you should have as someone looking to leave your dog, your precious baby/best friend and someone else has hands. Please go back and refer to my photos and as soon as I get the documentation from the vet about how she came back with a very bad UTI, I will upload that as well. I went back, and time stamped everything that you will see and have photos. On 5/6 I dropped her off. On 5/9 I got one picture of her and one video of her just sitting. Still there was no Facebook group pictures of Nala and as I stated before when I dropped her off on 5/6 I was told I will have Nala uploaded to the group before the end of the day. On 5/15 I was told every day more and more her confidence grows, which was not the case when I got her back at least. On 5/29. I was told here’s the exit it offers three follow ups as protocol not him doing me a “favor “by the way. On 5/19 still nothing added to the Facebook group or social media after again being promised at drop off. On 5/21 I sent a long message about the no social media presence and put in there stating what he had originally told me. Of course no response. When he did finally respond, he said I had no need to upload her progress to social media because I was texting it to you individually which I think the whole 3 1/2 weeks she was there. I got three pictures and 2- 10 second videos. On 5/26 after calling him out I finally get a video of her doing somewhat of her commands. And let’s not state that when Nala came back she had serious issues about peeing in the house ALL THE TIME- VERY ABNORMAL and I took her to the vet within 48 hours of her being home and she came back from him with a UTI. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON YOUR PEOPLE AND DOCUMENT WHETHER IT’S BY RECORDING OR EMAIL OR TEXT EVERYTHING THEY SAY AND PROMISE YOU. Also, it looks like by the photos I provided you that every dog is different depending on their needs. So since she came back not graduated from the program it seems like the follow up lessons regardless how many it takes should be free not something I have to pay for. Then I can provide another photo where he says he does not worry about her confidence at all and now here we are still with the confidence issue that he wants me to pay him sessions for.
