Shane has been absolutely amazing with the training of our Schnauzers. His hands on training approach is methodical and he provides great practical advice on how to implement and reinforce what was learned at home. I especially appreciated how he introduces other dogs to help train. His facility is immaculate and the dogs at the daycare are so well trained and a testament to his expertise. I can't say enough good things and grateful to have him onboard with our little spitfire.

Very happy with the results we got working with Shane. We tried other trainers and our dog Chip seems to be going backwards. He was getting very aggressive around other dogs. Felt like we couldn’t bring him anywhere. .Just took a few visits with Shane, who gave us some pretty simple homework and Chip is behaving himself and he is much better around other dogs. We are really enjoying our time with our well behaved dog that we now take everywhere with us. Thanks for your help Shane

Shane is a great trainer. I had retired from showing my previous Golden Retrievers in competition obedience, i needed a refresher in basic obedience with my new 6month old. Shane was incredible. He sensed the softness in her personality, she and I needed his expertise to get us on the correct training track, after years at the highest level in competition I had forgotten the basics in training. He was so incredibly patient with me and my girl. He is definitely the best and most knowledgeable of trainers.

Today was my first and last day with Shane. He tried playing mind games with me most of the time versus working on training. Example #1 - Shane: Why do you want to take your dog to the dog park? Me: I have always taken my dogs so I want to socialize my new dog and take him as well. He kinda laughs and asks me the same question another way. Me: I want him to have fun with other dogs. Shane: That is not what you said the first time that I asked you. Example #2: Me at the end of the session: I'm going to pay cash. Can you please give me a receipt? Shane: That's what this is. Why do you need a receipt? Are you trying to hide this from someone? Really odd questioning from this guy. Me: Why would I want to hide this from anyone?? Shane: You don't have to get defensive. Me: I'm not defensive. He kept digging at this topic with me. Me again: Anytime I give someone cash I want a receipt. Shane: You didn't say that the first time. You should always get a receipt whether it be cash, credit card, etc. Really?? What is this guy's problem? I felt like he was intentionally trying to make me feel bad as well as my dog. The brief training that was done by him was pulling on my dog's collar super hard a couple of times which made my dog yelp. My poor dog looked so scared. For reference my dog is a pit bull. Shane has a horrible way with people. I would describe him as having a Napoleon type of arrogance. He likes to dominant not just dogs but people. Dog trainers are a dime a dozen. This guy doesn't even try to pretend that he has the best interest for you or for your dog. We both, my dog and myself, felt so deflated after we left the $100 45 minute session. Horrible person and trainer.

I am beyond frustrated. I contacted Shane via his website form asking if he could train a dog who had bitten. I needed it for a PDA permit and explained the situation. He said he could absolutely help and wanted me to come down and do the training. I asked if we could speak on the phone first to make sure we were a good fit before I spend the money and time to bring my dog down. We played phone tag as he doesn’t return calls on a daily basis or even every 2 days. After 2 weeks we finally connected and he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about then said he doesn’t do training for dogs that had bitten in the past?! He specifically told me he could help with this in his email and that he would even send a letter confirming completion of the training. Then he changes his mind, said he couldn’t help me and wasted 2 weeks of my time. So sounds like he only does easy training like commands. I can do that. Sit, stay, come and walk. I can’t believe he doesn’t do aggression or behavior training as his website and emails lead you to believe he does. Go with Koru training instead!!! This guy is misleading. Koru is very upfront and has many choices. They are awesome and do it all. In home, board and train, behavior, aggression, everything. All over the East Bay. They were wonderful and not misleading at all
