Joe is uniquely talented! We have a Portuguese Water Dog, Cosmo, that we wanted to get therapy dog trained. Joe came in and built an immediate relationship with Cosmo. We learned quickly that Cosmo wants to work; he wants to have a task and he wants to please. Joe gave us the tools to guide Cosmo’s energy and so much more. We now have the confidence to walk Cosmo off leash (in fact, he carries his own leash), to have him play in the yard with no invisible fence, to have him carry things for us around the house and down the street, and to leave him alone in the house on his spot. He was instrumental in helping us build a strong relationship with Cosmo and, to cap it off, Cosmo passed his therapy dog exam just a few weeks ago. Can’t recommend Joe more highly. He is awesome!

We foster for.a rescue and when Joe was introduced to us to help us with our "runner" Luna , we were at our wits end, every time a door was open she would run, we live on a main road with cars and trucks going 60+mph, our fears she was going to get killed, Joe helped us help her, she learned heel , down stay , off, and listened to every command he gave , and I learned I don't speak dog and I have to stay calm and trust her , well my fostering failed , she is MINE and my best friend . With out Joe's instruction we would not of had the same outcome. I hope to continue to.learn so we can save more "troubled " k-9'd, ( I do believe behind every troubled K-9 is the mistake of a human.) Our goal it to not be needed as a rescue, train dogs can make that happen . ONE DOG AT A TIME

Canine Joe has a unique style with dogs. He does it differently than many other trainers and gets the results we’re looking for, a well behaving dog that comes when called, remains in a stay position and doesn’t destroy stuff. Joe says that when my dog is destructive I’m giving her too much freedom. He’s right a puppy is like a child in several ways and too much freedom, too many choices is harmful. Canine Joe knows dogs and he knows people. He’s very situationally aware almost as it he has eyes in the back of his head! I’m so glad we have been trained by Canine Joe. My only regret is that I didn’t find him earlier as I’m sure he could have made an impact with my reactive german shepherd about 10 years ago. The trainer I had then only used positive feedback. I was to distract my dog with continuous treats. This did not work and we flunked out of the training class which was a group class. Highly recommend Joe!
