I have nothing but great things to say about Diamond Canine. After months of trying to figure out what we could do to fix Lunas excessive barking, lunging, and leash pulling, we finally set our egos aside and asked for help. Joe and Victor came to our rescue and gave us all of the tools we needed to fix the issues we had struggled with for over a year. Now, just a few months later, I couldn’t ask for a better behaved pup. I now get asked daily if Luna is a service dog because of how well behaved she is and how well she walks on the leash. Victor truly did an amazing job we can’t thank him enough! He took the time to explain step by step what needed to be done and helped us use that training in real life scenarios. Joe helped us along as well, giving us tips and tricks along the way while also explaining everything. Our Experience with Diamond Canine Training: A Journey of Trust and Transformation As a family, we've always had dogs and made it a priority to ensure they were well-trained to fit our needs. Fortunately, we've never encountered serious behavioral issues—until we brought our new German Shepherd puppy into our home. This was our second experience raising a German Shepherd from a young age, and initially, we felt confident that our previous training experience would help us manage any challenges. However, as our puppy, Mishka, reached 12 months old and underwent her spaying procedure while she was in her first heat, her behavior began to change dramatically. She became aggressive toward our 8-year-old Husky and our 14-year-old Dachshund. Tragically, the aggression led to injuries that forced us to say goodbye to our beloved Dachshund. Devastated, we questioned whether we could keep Mishka. We contacted several trainers, but none gave us the confidence we needed—until we found Diamond Canine Training. From my first call with Erin, I felt understood and reassured. Soon after, Joe came to assess Mishka. He explained how her surgery likely triggered the aggression but assured us she could be helped. For the first time, we felt hope. Two weeks later, Mishka began an intensive board-and-train program with Joe and Victor. Those weeks were tough, but the transformation was remarkable. They worked tirelessly with Mishka, addressing her aggression and rebuilding her obedience, while also guiding us on how to handle her with confidence. The results speak for themselves. Mishka now walks calmly off-leash, even around other dogs. She listens, responds, and—most importantly—we trust her again. Joe and Victor not only changed Mishka’s behavior but gave us the tools and confidence to succeed at home. Their dedication didn’t end with training—they were always available for questions, follow-ups, and even included our Husky in sessions to strengthen our pack’s dynamic. I can’t say enough good things about Diamond Canine Dog Training! Our puppy, Murphy, is training with Joe, Annmarie & Matthew and the results have been incredible. From the very beginning, the team was patient, knowledgeable, and so encouraging — exactly what a new puppy (and his owner) needs. They even gave me some pointers on how to get Murphy & our 15 year old Shitzu to get along The trainers clearly care deeply about what they do, and it shows. Can’t say enough good things about boarding and training with Annmarie and Matthew. It was our first extended time away from our 9 month old pittie pup Cupid and he truly was in such good hands! Matthew came to pick him up so he was comfortable his first time going to stay with them which was so nice! And Annmarie did an amazing job communicating, giving updates on how he was doing and sending photos! It really put our minds at ease to get regular updates. Not only did he have a great place to stay, but he picked up new skills such as spot and was much improved walking on a leash. I would highly recommend Annmarie and Matthew to anyone looking for boarding or training. They are the best!!
