Diamond Dog Academy

We were introduced to Randy about 9 yrs ago. Our 2 older females, a GWP, and a GSP started fighting with each other. The GWP had given birth to 6 puppies. At 8 weeks 4 pups went to friends and we kept 2. The minute Randy came to our house, all 4 dogs were glued to his magical demeanor. We originally asked him to help me train pups to walk together without pulling as my shoulders were wearing out, old age. But, it was obvious the 2 fighters needed attention first. After a few visits the older females were in control and puppy leashing and my training were next. Oddly enough, I was the one who needed the most training to tone down my anxiety with all the dogs. Randy was very diplomatic but direct in his verbal dialect in helping me with my mannerisms around our dogs. Randy is a very special person with a dog whisperer gift. A real pleasure to know and learn from him. We have a true love of all dogs and all animals as well. We have referred several people to Randy. I have had several dogs and puppies over my lifetime but never pursued any training with them. My assumption was that dogs will be dogs and they get into occasional trouble, followed by discipline. What Randy at DDA showed my wife and I were very simple and effective techniques for correcting a dog following misbehavior as well as techniques for guiding our dog down a path of behaviors that we deem preferable. When a preferred action is performed the dog receives lots of love and is very proud that it’s owner is happy, this process is reinforced over time to create a well behaved animal that is proud to listen to its owner. We now have a dog that is not quite 1 year old and is so well behaved and listens to us better than any other dog either of us have ever owned.

I was having a terrible time with the new puppy I adopted. I had always had 2 or 3 dogs but adding the new one to the mix created chaos. The 2 males began to fight all the time. Then my female started getting involved and it was just miserable to deal with. I couldn't get it under control. I went to several dog trainers and couldn't get anyone to address the problem. Many of them confirmed my worst fears about the puppy being aggressive and likely a long-term problem. Then I found Randy. At our first consultation he had the 2 males quietly sitting right next to each other. I couldn't believe it was possible, but there it was. After working with Randy, I was able to turn my "aggressive" puppy into a sweet, loving, playful dog who follows the rules and feels confident and happy. I am so grateful for Randy's expertise, passion, commitment and compassion!

I couldn't ask for a better dog trainer then Randy! He listens to all of your problems and concerns with your puppy or dog and works with them and you to help overcome issues and you can tell he genuinely cares. It's amazing the transformation I have seen with my dog aswell as the way I approach things.
