FirstBarkClasses have been a little overwhelming for my small Boston Terrier puppy having to interact with all larger puppies including Irish Wolfhounds. She is, however, getting some good people socialization from staff and owners. I hope the training classes more will be less stressful for her as she really wants to participate.

Our Training Philosophy Dog training is all about forming a cooperative relationship with your dog. Willing, eager, compliant, smart, mannerly. Listens and follows directions! A dog who is polite, easy to live with and fun to take everywhere with you. Our goal is to teach your dog how to listen and follow directions from the whole family using positive, reward-based methods that do not rely on physical strength or intimidation. Our instructors will give you the tools you need to build communication and a satisfying relationship built on mutual respect and trust through kind and gentle training. Group classes start monthly, beginning through advanced levels.

I'm confused, is this place really only open for 3 hours at 6 pm???
Group family dog training classes are held weekday evenings from 6:00-9:00PM, Monday thru Thursday, and on Fridays from 4:00-5:30PM. There are also daytime classes on Wednesdays 11:00AM-2:30PM and Thursdays, 2:00-4:30PM. Weekend classes are held from 9:00AM-4:30PM Saturdays and Sundays. Trainers also schedule private lessons and behavior consultations by appointment during weekdays.

I am a first time dog owner and adopted a cute mutt who ended up being a crazy, smart, high-energy, german shepherd/ husky/ border collie (adorable, but yikes!). We came here and learned so much together! We can go on walks, hikes, and to stores and outdoor patios together all thanks to the wonderful teachers here.
We have enjoyed bringing each of our dogs through the classes at DITR. Beyond basic obedience, there are so many opportunities to learn and have fun with your dog. With several class times & a variety of training options, we have been able to attend despite our wacky work & life schedules.
We are halfway through our first puppy class. We are beyond impressed with how things have gone and how helpful and supportive our teachers are. We are halfway through our first puppy class. We are beyond impressed with how things have gone and how helpful and supportive our teachers are. Michelle and Ali have helped us so much in our short time together and i’m sure we will continue to learn so much more. Our puppy had a rough start to life and has a lot of fear based hold backs. They have helped with answering all our questions and guiding us in the right direction of how to support our puppy. I couldn’t be more happy and grateful for these classes. It is expensive for dog classes but 100% worth the investment and I have no doubt we will continue to bring our Bubba here!

Diamonds In the Ruff is an excellent training center, and among the absolute best picks in the Spokane area. My dog Hemlock has spent many valuable days here, and now if we ask him if he wants to go to school or class he's immediately excited and ready to go! The training methodologies used are just plain more effective than those commonly espoused elsewhere too, and will foster a better relationship with your dog. Thanks to them, Hemlock has become much better at dealing with dogs in the world around him and generally a much better dog to live with
