About Diamonds In the Ruff
Our Training Philosophy Dog training is all about forming a cooperative relationship with your dog. Willing, eager, compliant, smart, mannerly. Listens and follows directions! A dog who is polite, easy to live with and fun to take everywhere with you. Our goal is to teach your dog how to listen and follow directions from the whole family using positive, reward-based methods that do not rely on physical strength or intimidation. Our instructors will give you the tools you need to build communication and a satisfying relationship built on mutual respect and trust through kind and gentle training. Group classes start monthly, beginning through advanced levels.

I'm confused, is this place really only open for 3 hours at 6 pm???
Group family dog training classes are held weekday evenings from 6:00-9:00PM, Monday thru Thursday, and on Fridays from 4:00-5:30PM. There are also daytime classes on Wednesdays 11:00AM-2:30PM and Thursdays, 2:00-4:30PM. Weekend classes are held from 9:00AM-4:30PM Saturdays and Sundays. Trainers also schedule private lessons and behavior consultations by appointment during weekdays.

Rhen and I attended the Puppy K class in June. Taryn and Lindsay were AMAZING instructors!! So much knowledge to share, and the pace of the class was great for the group. We will continue our training and will, hopefully, get our Canine Good Citizen approval soon! Three cheers for DITR!

This dog training school is the place to go to train your dog! I’m currently taking beginner classes with my 1-year-old husky who is still very much a puppy. Their techniques are effective and helpful! Their exercises to help your dog settle when they get hyper and the impulse control exercises have made a world of difference for my husky which were the biggest issues we were having! I was able to practice our impulse control exercises on our walk this morning! Amazing what a difference a little positive reinforcement can do! I love how they can show you how to positively correct undesirable behaviors with your dog and how to reward them for desirable behaviors. I wish I could’ve taken my four-year-old German Shepherd to this when she was a puppy!
The best experience! We attend the puppy class and it was a great foundation for our puppy. A huge thank you! We will be back soon for more classes
