Diana's Doghouse

Joey was a COVID baby, a chihuahua-yorkie mix that struggled with socialization, aggression toward other dogs and friends and family, and consistently tested the boundaries on basic obedience commands. After months of shopping around for trainers and the appropriate approach, we discovered and easily decided to go with Diana’s Doghouse. Her price point was comparative, but the accompanied service, individualized attention, and overall quality and professionalism exceedingly surpassed the competition and our own expectations! After an evaluation and “meet” between her and Joey, we opted for the advanced program, which focused on strengthening basic obedience, as well as developing off leash disciplines, all while promoting socialization with other dogs, people, and in real life situations/environments. We packed Joey up for “bootcamp” and he was picked up and returned three weeks later.  I was admittedly nervous at first, but Diana routinely reached out with pictures, videos, and updates throughout the entire process! And continues to be an invaluable resource available via call or text to help with any follow-up questions! When Joey returned, he was a changed dog! Same great late night cuddler and spunky energetic pup during playtime, but now instilled with a discipline of awaiting command and accepting structure. Since the training, Diana has come out to our home for our follow-up sessions (time for myself to learn how to be a better dog dad and/or correct any deviations). We’re more than happy with the results and confidently take Joey to bars, parks, walks, etc. knowing we have the best behaved dog around - thanks to Diana’s Doghouse! Furthermore, Diana offers boarding services that serve as a sort of “continuing education.” Overall Diana’s Doghouse is an easy and overall win-win! Highly recommend!

I took my dog, Lucy, to Diana for training and I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the results. Diana was worth every penny! It was a bit daunting at first knowing I’d be away from my dog for 3 weeks but the way Diana kept me up to date with texts, videos and photos, along with progress updates was awesome!! Lucy came home able to heel, leave it, no, sit, down, come and is much better with being left alone. She is so much less reactive to other dogs (I didn’t think that would be possible). The crate is now something she goes in on her own. She still has her little terrier spark which I love but in a much better behaved 12 lb package of scruff  🙂 Follow up lessons and check ins were very appreciated! Great experience. Diana has been an absolute life saver. I brought our 1-year-old Weimaraner (Chito) for boarding and training after months of jumping, pulling, and ignoring commands. It was just what he needed! In addition to obeying commands better, he received lots of dog and people socialization while he was there. This was so important as I was avoiding taking him out to places because of his behavior. His overall behavior has improved dramatically and walking him is now a fun! So appreciate Diana !!
