About Dog Alliance Training Center
Nonprofit with a mission to improve human lives through programs incorporating the powerful connection we have with dogs. Fee-based services include summer camps for kids, pet dog training classes, train your own service dog classes for civilians, and therapy dog classes. We provide PTSD and mobility service dogs for Texas veterans and first responders at no charge. We provide reading dogs in schools at no charge. Therapy dog visits also provided at the family court, colleges, and hospitals at no charge to the organization or participants. Fee-based corporate wellness programs and trade show support featuring therapy dogs available.

Hi, We do not train dogs for dementia. We have pilot project underway to train diabetes alert service dogs. We hope to offer this expertise in 2024.

We just adopted a 7 yo male boxer who apparently hasn't been civilized beyond being housebroken. I haven't trained a dog since we had a puppy 45 years ago and don't know where to start. Do you have regular basic classes for adult dogs?

Are there Grant's for dogs?
Our community has made contributions via grants and individual gifts to support service dogs for veterans. Sadly, we have not yet found a founding source to provide service dogs for civilians. For civilians, we have priced our Train Your Own Service Dog as low as possible. We also have a crowd funding tool to help you raise funds for your training efforts. Do u charge for boarding and training on service dog if I have a dog to train already?

Do you have small dogs to carry with you, fit in a carrier to take everywhere you go, that can sleep with me, 4yrs old, lap dog.
We do not. All our current service dogs in training will be 50 pounds or larger as adults. Unfortunately, we have not researched small dog breeders. There are a few small dog rescue groups in town, but we have not researched them either. Sorry we can't be more helpful.

I am 12 and I have been helping animals basically my whole life, I am also very responsible. I am three months from being 13, and I am very eager to start right away, would I be aloud to volunteer here?

Do you have hypoallergenic dogs?
We are not a traditional shelter. We train service dogs for veterans. Currently, we have two non-allergenic dogs in training.

First, I’ll start with what I like about The Dog Alliance. I went to the camp several SEVERAL years ago as a kid with my dog. It was the most fun I’ve ever had, I cherish those memories as she is no longer with us. I highly recommend the dog camp for kids. The facility is very nice and huge. They offer a wide variety of programs from agility to day camp, or even grooming. They also do very good work for the community by training service dogs for veterans and others with disabilities. Now, what I don’t like. I took my puppy to the puppy kindergarten classes with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was let down. The trainer was good, but I felt we didn’t get much accomplished, and could’ve saved the money and watched a YouTube video. I did like that she got to socialize with the other puppies, but ultimately wasn’t what I was hoping to achieve. I did much more work with her at home, and found better results from videos. It’s a good class, but too expensive in my opinion. I was looking into the dog day camp for her, as she developed some fearfulness to other dogs, but it’s way too pricey for the average joe. I shopped around and found a different facility in round rock that offered a 3 week extensive training program for the same price the dog alliance charges for 10 days of just day camp. I’m amazed at how much my puppy has grown and how different she is now, the other training program has helped mold her into a well mannered young dog. In conclusion, yes this is a good place for kid day camp is you have the money to spare. The training programs don’t offer as much as one would hope for the price. But if money isn’t an issue, then go for it. I wouldn’t recommend this facility if you’re looking for more bang for your buck. I would recommend it if you’re dog is trained, and just needs better manners.
Leaving a 5 star to offset the crapy 1 star from a few weeks back. If your kid can't read the policy guidelines, you don't get your money back. Thanks for taking solid safety precautions Alliance, you guys rock!

Allowed my 15-year-old son to take responsibility for his new puppy and sign us up for classes. He did not understand the Covid policy since this is the ONLY business we’ve encountered that REQUIRES a vaccine for the handler. ExplainED the situation to them and they declined to make an exception to their refund policy. So now my son is out his money and we have to pay again to go to Petsmart for puppy training. Nice Dog Alliance!
They have a great facility and top notch trainers. I've been to various other training classes with several dogs and this place definitely had some tips that are above and beyond the usual.
