Our very recent rescue dog turned out to have some aggressive behavior towards our daughter and Tim's in-home training was perfect for targeted strategies that helped us see and reinforce behavior changes almost immediately. Can’t say enough good things about Tim and his expertise in training dogs. He explains things so well that my dog is experiencing. My dog Toby has severe anxiety and can be reactive when resource guarding. As soon as we had our first session with Tim, he was able to help relieve some of Toby’s anxiety with just a single session. After we had that session I knew Tim was the right guy for the job to help Toby and I. Toby went to train and board with Tim for 10 days and he has drastically improved. Tim continues to help Toby throughout the week and Toby is so much less anxious and reactive. Toby is like a completely new dog. He’s happy, likes to meet new dogs (was afraid of other dogs), and is able to calm down and enjoy new company. His advice is solid and you can tell he has a lot of experience with what he does. I would be lost if it wasn’t for Tim. He has reassured me numerous times and goes above and beyond his job. You can tell Tim loves what he does and if you’re thinking about getting your dog help or training you won’t regret Tim’s help. I wouldn’t trust anyone more with Toby.

I reached out to Dog Basics PDX after reading about their training services in a Google search. I am a recently single mom of 2 very anxious, reactive, untrained pitbull mixes and I was in desperate need of some guidance. Timothy came to my rescue and within an hour I had both dogs walking so well on a leash I didn’t even recognize them. All thanks to these little head harness lead things Timothy utilized in our session. It’s only been a day but they are already getting used to wearing them. In fact, those head harnesses (Gentle Leads) saved us tonight when I took them out to potty - the one dog I’ve been terrified to encounter, of course, was off leash and ran up on us in the parking lot. My dogs absolutely freaked out, but the gentle leads prevented them from biting, which ultimately prevented a blood bath. I was able to calm them down relatively quickly. A couple scratches and a very shaken up mom, but we are okay and I’m so grateful to have had that suggestion and training from Timothy. Amazing.
Definitely I was shocked at how fast Timothy’s Teaching methods worked. I would definitely like to say that I highly recommend using Timothy in his services. He had a fast response time and scheduled to see me in a timely manner.
