Dog Gone Amazing Dog Training and Boarding

We are SOOO happy with our experiences with Doggone Amazing!!! Long review for those who want details, but if you want the short version: Take your dog here! They are amazing and gave us so many tools to be better dog owners. Backstory: We have a 4 yo border collie who became more and more reactive as he got older. He loves going to parks to play frisbee, but we stopped being able to take him to his favorite places because we didn't know how he would react. He would get so scared when loud kids are around that he would try to hide, or if any dogs went up to him he got more and more reactive around them, eventually getting to the point where he was fighting with most dogs he met. After a lot of thought we ended up doing the Board and Train with Doggone Amazing, and have not regretted it. They gave us the tools to be able to deal with every scenario we could imagine. I finally feel like a responsible dog owner, and I also feel like I have the tools to take care of my dog wherever we go. They also took such good care of him while he was there. It was obvious when we picked him up, and since then, that he loves the trainers and they obviously put so much effort into building a trusting relationship with him. I think these two recent experiences really sum it up: We had to board our dog last weekend and it was the first time he went back to Doggone Amazing since his Board and Train. He was so excited when we pulled up I barely opened the door and he bolted inside, so excited to say hello to all the trainers. He literally did not look back at us! The second experience was taking him to our favorite park a couple days ago. It turned out it was really crowded - screaming kids and rambunctious dogs, his worst nightmare! But both of us had the tools to navigate the situation. He kept playing for over an hour, navigating one challenge after another like a champ. I felt like our world was getting smaller as we could take our dog to fewer and fewer places. After the board and train I feel like our world opened up again! So many thanks to all the amazing staff at Doggone Amazing.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dog Gone Amazing Education Center. Our little Bailey girl started in Turnkey training with Malaiki and is now participating in a 24-day Board and Train with Mikaela, Betz, and the team. We are half-way through the 24 days. Today we met Mikaela at the park to see Bailey’s progress, along with her best fur friend Mattingly. He is such a cutie. We were EXTREMELY happy to see how well Bailey is doing, her amazing progress, and the positive interaction that Bailey has with Mikaela. Mikaela was so professional and knowledgeable, and we could see how much she truly cares about our Bailey. Outstanding work Dog Gone Amazing Education Center. I would highly recommend their program for anyone that is wanting a team to train your fur babies and love them like you do. Well, done team!

I don't think I could be happier with the training we received. I HIGHLY recommend DGA! I have two very large male Labrador Retriever litter mates who were very hard to control and often fought with each other. The largest of the boys had terrible anxiety and would literally lunge at anything moving (skateboards, joggers, cars, bikes, in addition to fence fighting) making it very dangerous for all of us while on walks. I had hip and back issues that required surgery when they were a couple of years old which made walking them on a leash nearly impossible. I was looking for a trainer when a friend of mine enrolled her rescue in both the Turnkey and Board and Train. She was a 2 yr old stray that had never interacted with humans and within a couple of weeks she was basically walking off leash in the mountains with us. I was hoping for the same success and can positively say DGA surpassed all my expectations from the first Evaluation meeting to the last day of training. I worked with Malaika for 3 months doing Turnkey, and from minute one, the dogs knew she was in charge. She is very professional, attentive, and caring. If she had a session without me I always received pics and video's of their progress. Both dogs now walk wonderfully on leash without pulling or fence fighting. They mind immediately off leash while in the mountains on hikes. I can take them places without fear of embarrassment or fear that they will run away and hurt themselves or another animal. They are also respectful of our visitors and their space which is a godsent. The one with anxiety now has sooo much more confidence. He is no longer reactive to situations with other animals or people and does not try to lunge or bite. Malaika, you worked some amazing magic and I will be forever grateful!

We adopted two reactive rescue dogs and needed help training them. The DGA turn-key program was very effective, but we decided to enroll both dogs in their board-and-train program since we only had a little time before moving out of state. Our dogs came back to us happy, confident, and trained. The follow-up lessons have been tailored to our specific needs. The DGA staff members understand that dogs are like family. They are all so friendly, professional, flexible, and incredibly caring. We wish we had found this place when we adopted our first dog years ago.
