I cover all basic commands and everyday life situations, such as greeting people, going for a walk, and coming in from the yard.
My services are very personalized, whether you are in a class situation, if I visit you at home, or we train long distance through video conferencing. Sometimes a combination of both is helpful. Dog training is not "one size fits all." Each dog/human relationship is unique and requires an individualized approach.

It's been so important for my puppy's development to get real life experience with a trainer, other people, and other puppies and Leah does such a great job of facilitating and answering all our questions. It's a great experience. Your puppy gets exposure to all kinds of normal daily instances like wheel chairs and such you wouldn't think of the coming in contact with. In the middle of training they do a puppy play time. This is wonderful to get pups associated with all kinds of pups and people. I recommend these trainings.

We rescued our dog about a year ago, Athena is our third rescue dog. She is a three year old Boxer, we have had Boxers for 25 years and we know the breed very well. Our dog has had a very very rough past, she was kept in a basement for two years (she did not even go outdoors to the bathroom!), she was also abused. It took her a very long time to trust us, to make matters worse, on our daily walk (in May) there was a visiting dog on our road (pit bull) who was tied but broke the leash it was tied with and charged us and attacked our dog in a death grip, it was very scary. That is the back story... I had been told by several different people how great of a trainer Leah is.
We just completed the Leash and Greet class. I did not sign up to the class to learn tricks and to roll over etc. This was the perfect class for our dog, it was all about learning how to avoid conflict and stress for your dog in many examples that happen as a dog owner. I really wanted our dog to realize that she could be in close proximity to other dogs and that she would be safe. Due to my dog's history, we stayed a bit of a distance away from the other dogs in the class but were able to participate on every level. Leah was beyond understanding and always made sure my dog was included in all the exercises. Myself and my dog learned a lot. The class was very informative and Leah shares a lot of tips and tricks to help teach your dog to have many new skills to learn from and build upon. We still have lots of work to do, but I would highly recommend Leah, I can't say enough great things about Leah and the class that we attended.

Leah was fantastic along with all the college volunteers! Millie and I learned a lot and we plan on taking more courses that Dog Gone Good offers!
