We couldn’t be happier with the results Nate delivered. Our 2.5 year old Basenji, Finn, is incredibly intelligent but also extremely stubborn and naturally wary of people. We were turned away by multiple trainers simply because of his breed, which says a lot about the challenge we were facing. From the start, Nate was confident, calm, and clearly experienced. He didn’t just take Finn on as a challenge, he understood him. That alone made a huge difference. Through patience, consistency, and skill, Nate was able to successfully train Finn in ways we honestly didn’t think were possible. What really set Nate apart is that he didn’t just train Finn, he trained us too. He clearly explained everything, showed us exactly how to respond to Finn in different situations, and really drilled it into us so we could be consistent. He set clear rules and structure that made it easier for all of us to succeed, and that guidance has been just as valuable as the training itself. The biggest win is that Finn actually likes him, which if you know Basenjis is saying a lot. If you have a difficult dog, a stubborn breed, or have been told it can’t be done, Nate is the person you want. He absolutely exceeded our expectations, and we’re beyond grateful for the transformation we’ve seen in Finn. Highly, highly recommend!

Nate has been such a gem to work with. My sweet rescue pup, Penny, and I started with him back in November, and we are both changed women! I had no idea where to start with training a dog, especially a reactive rescue I found under a car. He's been very supportive and incredibly responsive when I have questions or concerns.
