Dog Owner’s Academy provides professional dog training in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas using our Train As You Live™ approach. Since 2008, we’ve helped train more than 5,000 dogs through practical, real-life training designed for the moments that matter most: at home, on neighborhood walks, around guests, and in distracting environments. Our programs include private in-home dog training, board and train, puppy training, and group classes for continued practice after graduation. I am not exaggerating when I say this program will change your life. Ron has recently retired, but the methods Turk uses to train his trainers is flawless. These trainers are not here to “break” your dog. They train you on how to train them and they give both dog and owner a sense of ownership and control. Our sweet Callie is our first ever dog and fit so seamlessly into our home with the help of Dog Owner’s Academy. I’ve given out their card many times and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone looking to train a dog, young or old.

Dom did an incredible job turning our high energy rambunctious Trace into a well mannered distinguished gentleman. Dom visited many times and gave us the necessary advice and tools to be successful.

I was at the vet when I came across the Dog Owners Academy vehicle and I am so glad that I dd. Not only did they help me undo the bad habts that I had unknowingly taught my dog, but then they also took the time to better educate me on how to continue to train my dog and we're very helpful to answer any questions that I needed along the way. They were amazing and I highly recommend them. Dom, you're awesome, thank you for training my Jemma!

Dom was the BEST. My husband and I got originally got 2 husky puppies and signed them up to get trained after meeting with Dom. Unfortunately, one of the puppies passed away before the training started and they handled the situation with so much empathy and even sent us a nice wooden placard to keep in our home to remember our pup. We continued with the training for our husky Zeus and he is the most well behaved boy ever. We always get compliments on how well he is trained, despite being only 1 year old (and a husky) Zeus also loves Dom and couldn’t wait to see him for the follow up lessons! We continue to do some practice training to keep Zeus up to date but Dom always answers any questions very quickly and has also become part of our fam! 10/10 recommend !!!!!
