FirstBarkI asked Paul to help with my teacup maltipoo’s bad manners. I was afraid to call a trainer because of her size. I did not want a “bully” trainer to come in and hurt my little nugget. He was knowledgeable and gentle. I felt comfortable with his corrections. I would definitely recommend him no matter your dog’s size. My little dog’s manners have greatly improved!

Should I be the Alpha dog by using brute force?
Absolutely not! The most powerful pack leaders are the ones that say and do the least. The way to gain control over your dog is to use calm relaxed quiet energy. Less is more. Besides, people who think they should “alpha role” their dog usually wind up getting bitten or scratched, or worse hurt their dog physically. There are much better ways to be your dog’s “Alpha” leader. Respect is what is lacking here. You can gain your dog’s respect by using calm, relaxed energy instead of brute force.

Why is my dog showing aggression toward people or other dogs?
Most times it's because they were not socilized when they were young. Also, they were never shown how they are supposed to act by the humans in their life. your dog may be nervous, axious, fearfull, uncertain, insecure. All these will trigger aggresion. For example, barking, growling, lunging at guests when they come in the house. Your dog isn't sure what they're supposed to do when the doorbell rings and you open the door. That uncertainty could be the cause. The dog doesn't know what to do so they go back to a primal state which is to bark growl etc. I teach people how to communicate with their dog so they know how to greet with a calm state of mind. Paul was an amazing instructor not only for Maeve but for us as well! He was very articulate in simple actions that we can do to help us become better pack leaders for Maeve. He was very friendly and knowledgeable on how to bring balance to our household. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking to bring balance back to your household!
He was on time which is always a great start. Very Pleasant to speak with gives very simple and clear instructions. We saw results right away, by the end of the session we felt a lot more confident. Recommend giving him a try with your best friend.

Paul came for the at home 2 hour visit. I was a little skeptical if 2 hours would be enough because my dogs were pretty bad. I have two small dogs, one that has extreme anxiety codependency issues and the other a puppy who has no manners and a biting problem. Immediately after coming in and working with my dogs for just a couple of minutes there was a big difference in their behavior. I learned so much in the two hour session and my dogs were not acting like the same dogs when he left. My anxious dog can finally go walking without trying to bark and kill everyone he sees. And although my younger dog is still biting he is learning not to and his behavior is already significantly better. I am very thankful I looked Paul up because i really though these guys were a lost cause.

We had Paul come to our home to help with our bloodhound that we recently adopted from a rescue. He did an amazing job and was very patient with our rather stubborn hound. He showed us the methods to use to allow us to be better dog owners and to allow our pup to know we are the leaders of the pack. It's so nice to be able to walk our dog on his leash with out him pulling us through the entire walk. We are truly a grateful and happier family now that we know there are boundaries and guidelines set in place. We would definitely reccomend Paul and his expertise.
