Dog's Best Friend

This is probably a long review, the gist of it is - Paul is amazing. He’s a “dog whisperer” who has a miraculous impact on dogs just by his presence. You won’t need to look further for training needs. I had tried three trainers for my puppy before I contacted Paul. Each of them had different training techniques (mostly treat and redirection based) and it hadn’t worked because the choice to obey or not (stop the destructive behavior) was up to the puppy and he would make different decisions based on what he thought at the time. Redirection worked momentarily and then he would be back at the undesired behavior. My puppy also ended up getting diarrhea after the training class because he was being given treats for every correct thing he did. As he grew up, he became disinterested in treats. He barked non stop if crated, he would nip and jump on people, was never calm, constantly destroyed furniture and pulled clothes, pulled on the leash, and howled and barked non stop if I left the room. Paul was able to train and resolve all these behaviors in under 2 hours, unlike conventional training classes that need 6-8 sessions and may not work. As soon as Paul walked in, in the first minute, my puppy (who would always be in a hyperactive frenzy) calmed down and looked contented and relaxed. I had never seen him calm, relaxed or contented before this. My puppy respectfully sat on all fours looking attentively at Paul. The transformation I witnessed in my dog’s general state of activity and energy in those few seconds was miraculous. In the next two hours, Paul explained dog psychology, impact of our energy, and trained my puppy and me. We left my puppy in a crate in the next room, and for the first time ever, the puppy looked calm/relaxed and showed no signs of separation anxiety (no barking/howling). He was calmly lazying around in his crate. The puppy stopped nipping me the same day. Paul is a “dog whisperer” without a tv show! He doesn’t train behavior issues with treats. He’s able to get good behavior out of the dog - the dog actually wants to please you and obey and doesn’t need to be bribed anymore. And he taught me everything I needed to know about handling my dog.

We have a relatively well-behaved 11-year-old Chihuahua, Chloe, and an uncontrollable, overly exuberant 2-year-old Morkie, Joe. We asked Paul to help us train Joe to be calmer, especially around other people, dogs and neighborhood distractions. Paul really knows what he's doing. In just 2 hours, he gave us a world of good advice that is already paying off. Basically, he showed us how to treat Joe like a dog, not a baby, and show him that we run this house, not him. We learned how to do that without raised voices or any kind of physical abuse. Watching Paul handle Joe was absolutely eye-opening. Now we need to follow his example.

Paul is simply amazing! He is the dog whisperer of Orlando! Our Australian Shepherd, Henry, is 9 years old and is extremely aggressive towards other dogs, pulls when we walk him, and had some aggressive behavior towards my toddler. I called many places to find a trainer and they all quoted me thousands of dollars offering me weeks of boarding to train him, numerous training sessions, and some lifetime membership etc. When I spoke to Paul, he told me one session would be enough to teach us how to properly work with Henry and we would see improvement. This sounded like a dream come true! Well…. The dream came true. I decided to go with Paul because he is authentic, honest, friendly, and to the point. In ONE session only I saw a HUGE improvement in Henry’s behavior. We are consistent with what Paul taught us and I can happily say that I now actually enjoy walking Henry without him lunging at other dogs or pulling me excessively. His behavior is also much better towards my son and other dogs. Paul, we can’t thank you enough! Take it from me, hire Paul! He is honestly the best in this field and I am here to say that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks….with Paul!!
