Dog's Best Friend Training

We have taken puppy, behavior, and agility classes with Dog's Best Friend. The classes have been well organized, informative and most of all fun. The instructors are top notch, and give great beneficial feedback. We also have utilized the dog sitting services and were very pleased how healthy and happy our pup looked when we returned from vacation. The sitter communicated with us regularly, and was quite flexible and accommodating. Overall, an extremely well run organization.

I was really disappointed with my session. They do not do consultations (most trainers will do a consultation and, if it isn't free which many times is the case, they will subtract the cost of the consultation from any training scheduled), so most of the two hour session was used to learn about my dog's situation and behavior. My dog guards toys and food and the trainer's suggestion was to "keep toys away when other dogs are around" Not really a solution in my mind. I told her that I was willing to put in the work to train my dog no matter what it takes. She responded by telling me that my dog is too old and that it would take time. I told her I didn't care how much work or time it would take and she said that maybe we weren't suited to work together. So after two hours and NO TRAINING I paid them my $180 and was left to seethe in my unhappiness with the service I received without anyone following up to see how it had gone. Maybe stick with puppy training classes at this business...
