Dog Savvy Dog Training

An excellent, knowledgeable and caring dog trainer who was able to train our 8 yr old Yorkie to follow commands, walk on a leash, potty outside (this was a huge deal for us!). They have boarded her numerous times as well and even took her to vet when needed for a minor illness. They are extremely caring people...my Yorkie loves to go to see them. You will be very pleased with the outcome and change in your pet's behavior.

I contacted Andrew 2 months ago due to my dogs having little to no manners. They jumped on people when then came inside, barked incessantly at the window and pulling on the leash on walks. After one session with Andrew, he let us see how these are all “human problems” and we needed to fix the dog and find out why they are doing those behaviors. Today I have a fabulous relationship with my dog and feel confident that I better understand their emotions. Today my dogs are so much calmer and well behaved because we treated their underlying anxiety rather than policing a few different commands!

Andrew Gleason really is the Austin Dog Whisperer! I can not express what a positive experience I have had (and continue to have) w Andrew, Brittany and their Team. I am definitely one of those pet parents who is super protective of my fur babies and want to make sure I am doing everything possible so that they are happy and living their best possible life. After losing my 13 yr old Bavarian Mountain Hound, Jag, early last year I thought I would never be able to have another dog in my life, much less a puppy..... and then I found Ruger, a little GSP with a personality much larger than he was and all of the issues that come along w having a puppy. I was overwhelmed to say the least and knew I needed help so I immediately started doing research to find a trainer that would be the best fit for not only Ruger but for myself. I spoke to 5 different local training companies, did further research and even did site visits to 2 very well known companies in the area..... after speaking w Andrew and then meeting him (and him meeting Ruger) -- I knew immediately that this was they way I needed to go. I liked that Andrew had so much history and experience w training dogs (including training of police/law enforcement dogs) and I especially liked that he did not approach training with a "one size fits all" mentality. He took the time to learn about Ruger (and about me) and then developed a plan based on what both of our needs and goals were and the best approach to get us there. I chose to enroll Ruger in a 6 week program w Gleason Training and I love that Andrew and Brittany literally incorporated Ruger (as they do all of the dogs in their care) into their home. Not only did Andrew train Ruger but he trained me too :-)! They kept me posted w updates, pictures and videos and were (and continue to be) always available to answer questions and provide support. I so appreciate that the communication and relationship has extended passed the initial training and I am able to reach out to them if I have questions or concerns about random dog park issues, nutrition, etc. (BTW - Brittany fresh bakes the dog treats they use!!!) I love that they still check in on me and remain super invested in the overall health of my Ru! Andrew and Brittany really are a part of our family now and it is such a relief to have such confidence and TRUST when I leave Ruger in their care for boarding or brush up training. (And did I mention Ruger ABSOLUTELY ADORES Andrew!!) It is a very special relationship and I am so fortunate to have found them.

Wow. I had no idea what to expect coming into this process. So many times have a felt relief throughout the experience of getting my dog trained. Andrew is amazing, and Brittany is incredible. Very little have I been left with questions for Andrew after our sessions. When I did have questions, he assured me he understood what I was asking by answering fluently in a way that was impossible to misunderstand. How awesome the Gleason Dog Training Family community helps so much with making sure I’m not alone in this deal, and I have multiple people to check in with if I need some help or have an odd situation come up.
