I am SO grateful I found Dog Savvy for myself & my dog. I put Owen in the 4 week board and train program and it absolutely changed my life. Andrew and Brittany loved my dog as their own which made me so happy, and the weekly training sessions made me feel super confident and way more equipped to be a first time dog mom. Owen was super reactive to other dogs, barking all through the night, jumping, and biting like crazy. This training really showed me how to communicate with my dog and simply how to be more patient and understanding. They’re always there when I need help, questions, or feedback. I really couldn’t recommend them enough. Plus- look at the cutest picture of all time that they took of Owen the day before his 1st birthday/ the day that he came home from board and train! We are so lucky we found Dog Savvy! We have been through training before with our reactive, stressed out dog and it ended up doing more harm for him than good. No question goes unanswered. Their training program is based upon free behavior and works miracles. Their knowledge of dogs and their behaviors is mind-blowing. Never in a million years would I have thought training my dog could be so laid back and rewarding for my dog and me. Our Story: I rescued a large puppy and knew if I didn’t train this puppy, I knew we were headed to disaster, and he’d take over the house and run wild. I dreaded “obedience” training; to me, that equals kills a dog’s spirit to get him to have good behavior. After some Google searches, Dog Savvy Training + Development popped up. I started reviewing their website and found something very different in their training program and different from traditional training. After talking to Brittany & Andrew for 10 minutes, I knew their training program offered exactly what I was looking for and would allow mutual companionship to grow between my dog and me. The training wasn’t all about training my dog; it also teaches me to be a good dog mom. We started training on December 4th, 2020 and saw immediate improvements, but what showed me this training method works is when my kids went to their dads for Christmas and were gone 10 days. When they got back, they kept saying, “Mom, Iggy is a whole new dog.” His out of control behavior was no more; he was more relaxed and cooperative.

Andrew and Brittany, became an indispensable resource for my girlfriend and I who were under legal pressure to train our Doberman. We needed help within a very narrow window of time to ensure we would not be evicted from our apartment complex due to complaints from other tenants about our dog's moderate aggression issues toward other dogs. We had 6 weeks to have our dog attain a training certification and Andrew and Britany quickly stepped in the help. We can truly say that this was an investment well spent. Not only did our dog receive extensive board and train services for weeks, but where Dog Savvy Training really sets themselves apart is in the ongoing engagement and support they provide their community. It would be unrealistic to think you would drop off your dog and magically correct all behavioral issues in 4 weeks, which is where most dog training programs fall flat. The post-boarding support is where Dog Savvy truly shines. Andrew and Britany are just a text a way when you need help and make sure they take the time to train the human, which is a piece that most dog boot camps miss. Through virtual course work, individual sessions, and the structured methodology Dog Savvy Training provided our dog, we can truly say we've seen lasting changes in our dog, that has made our lives easier and drastically improved our relationship.
