Hi! I am starting a basic obedience class on Tuesday at 10 am with my dog Pepper. I wonder: 1. How long the class will be? 2. If I need to brings papers or treats or something else? Thank you!
Classes last from 50-55 minutes each. :) Bring lots of pea-sized soft treats. Chicken, hot dogs, cheese or soft dog treats cut into small pieces work well. Arrive 5 minutes early for your class. Do not feed her at least four hours before class. We require your dog be vaccinated against: distemper (CDV), parvovirus (CPV), hepatitis (adenovirus) (CAV), parainfluenza (CPiV) and bordatella. Bordatella may include parainfluenza (CPiV)—ask your vet if you are unsure. For dogs over 6 months, please bring proof of rabies vaccination. Bring a copy of vaccination proof to your instructor for your first class. Usually your last receipt from your vet's office will have this information included.

My dog doesn't need any training, but does need exercise in an indoor area due to her being intolerant to the heat and she needs to lose weight. She has had bilateral TPLO surgeries. Any recommendations for classes or sports?
Call DTCSP & ask if you could exercise your pup in the trick arena.

Is it $105 per class?
Puppy and basic classes are $105 each. All other classes are usually $90

No the classes are $95 for a 6 week session as stated on the website

The event Sunday aug 5 does not give an exact time for the trials. I am just interested in checking this out. Do they run at any specfic time?
Judging starts at 9 AM. The trial probably won't end until after 3 PM

When are your puppy classes? I have a burmese mt dog 5mo.
You can go to their website or call them for class schedules. The puppy classes are great and make a big difference.

I was wondering how this facility could charge hundreds less than other trainers and now I understand. The facility is huge and they have several classes going at once. This makes it difficult to hear the instructor. They do not care about size or temperament of dogs when filling classes. In my class we had chihuahuas and great Danes, a reactive franchie and a traumatized rescue mixed breed. It was chaos getting us all in the ring. The teaching assistant would contradict the main instructor which frustrated me specifically. The first class we learned sit and up. At the start of the second class the instructor told us to practice sit and down while she was busy with the reactive frenchie. Huh? Down is something my dog stuggles with so I very much wanted to teach her this. The instructor took a few minutes to explain how to teach down then went back to one on one and we never went over it again. My dog still doesn't know "down". By the 4th class when we had only learned sit, up, (generously) down. We spent the majority of the time walking in a circle in an attempt to teach heel/no leash pulling. My dog still pulls like crazy. She also still jumps on people. We never did learn how to stop/prevent your dog from jumping on people. Over all a waste of time and money. Save yourself the 6 weeks and money. Get a trainer that can help you on a more individual level and guarantees their work.
Our Dog Manny is learning so much in their beginning dog training classes. We are planning on taking their their agility classes next. The staff is great!
