Dog Training Personalized

We took our now 6 month old German Shepherd to Steve starting when she was about 4 months old and have been working with him every few weeks since. We sort of fell into the German Shepherd life. As much as you read and research owning one, actually having one is a different ball game!! She's a Very sweet girl with a large, stubborn, and forcefully playful attitude that needed guidance. We were owers who needed help: I was used to small/medium sized calm dogs growing up, my husband was raised with issues with dogs and needed to overcome that, plus our young kids were not happy with excessive jumping (claws and puppy teeth hurt!) and not able to play with their new puppy. So, Steve had his work cut out for him!! 🤣 Being that he trains K-9 German Shepherds and has a German Shepherd himself, it was great to pick his brain each session!! He is very knowledgeable and has great advice. We saw such promise of what a highly intelligent, good dog our girl is each session!! Steve did private lessons with us and amazed us with how well she could behave. He taught us the basics on handling her and taught her to have good manners. He helped us overcome doubt about having a large energetic dog, gave us the confidence we needed to raise her well, and helped us know how to keep her in check and let her be a positive part of our lives. All of us have grown so much for the better as owners and dog through training!! Night and day! Our kids now love playing with their puppy and are not scared of her. We have grown confident as owners and have overcome most issues we came with. There are still moments with her as she tests her limits and as we learn to handle each new stage, but overall she (and we) have improved dramatically!! Also, the group puppy class they offer free on Saturday mornings is incredible!!! It allowed our girl to play with others her age, and it was great to talk with other owners in the same puppy stage. The other trainers were also great at the puppy class for tips on behavior. Absolutely recommend this business to everyone I know with dogs!!

We took both of our german shepherds and each dog had their own trainer with personalized sessions. Steve, the owner, was a k-9 officer and still trains police k-9’s, so obviously qualified. Reil, one of his trainers, has a working cadaver search dog. She has many national and state certifications in training as well. Dog 1— Reil was AMAZING!! She trained our 1yearold German Shepherd, and his obedience is like night&day! We opted for more group lessons at the end rather than more private lessons because he was so well trained, he didn’t need more private lessons. The group lessons are great for all the dogs I have seen and have been the BEST (yet challenging) part of both of our dogs’ training. Steve (the owner) helped us one-on-one with our 4 yearold rescue German Shepherd. She had aggressive reactivity towards men and other dogs- she has improved soo much, we were able to have a party at our house and she approached people looking for pets for the first time! We are so proud and happy for her. 11/10 recommended!!!!

Dog Training Personalized took our crazy puppy and turned her into a obedient dog. Our pup was never able to walk on a leash without pulling, now she walks like a pro. Steve did great spending time 1 on 1 time with our dog. He was very professional and personable. We chose the week long training with boarding and throughly enjoyed the experience. I got updates on my pup and pictures of her progress! I highly recommend this business for anyone looking for personalized training for their pup!
