Dog Training With Miri

Miri is wonderful. She was referred by our neighbor. She has not only begun to train our dog, she has given us the tools (aka homework) to carry on that training. She is not overbearing or judgmental. In our case this is our first dog and she has been understanding that we are very much in learning mode. We saw results within the first week. Our dog was having accidents in our home. She helped us curb that by providing a printout to chart the times we take her out. She got our whole family involved and worked with my teenagers to engage them in the process. They care how Miri thinks we are doing with training! Among other things, she also taught our dog how to be in the same room with us but stay in place so we enjoy having her around us much more now. (I.e. around the dinner table). We are also learning how to teach our dog not to jump on people when they come in our home and working with her not to be afraid of other dogs. Miri lets you ask her questions and is very committed to her training process. We are still working with her and would highly recommend her!

I highly recommend Miri! When I was searching for a dog trainer, I came across Miri’s website and decided to give her a call. I had so many questions, and she was gracious enough with her time to answer all of them. She even gave me suggestions and tips on how to help me with some of my concerns. Right off the bat, you could tell she cares deeply for dogs and wants to help owners with specific goals. That initial consultation I had with Miri made me feel confident that she was the right fit for both my dog and myself. I have 3 small children and very little time to train, so I opted for the 21 day board and train! Sunny is a 2 year old mini goldendoodle who immediately felt very comfortable w Miri. Miri would send me videos and pictures and even phone calls to update me on her progress throughout the 3 weeks. First and foremost, I needed Miri to help me house break Sunny as she was still using the potty on potty pads inside the house! I wanted Sunny to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test too! When the 3 weeks were over, I met with Miri who taught me everything she taught Sunny for an easy transition. Not only did Sunny start using the bathroom only outside, Sunny passed the CGC test (which Miri was present for- supporting us with her positivity) with flying colors! As a bonus, Miri’s amazing training also helped Sunny easily pass the AKC Community Canine test too! My ultimate goal is for Sunny to be a therapy dog, which she is well on her way- all thanks to Miri’s training skills and confidence she has given not only Sunny, but myself too! Thank you Miri!

Our family got the best of both worlds recently when we left our 14-month-old dog with Miri for her "boarding and training" package while we went on vacation! Miri kept us posted on Kanga's progress and well-being while we enjoyed our trip. We could tell from the photos she sent that Kanga was being loved as well as trained. Miri trained her in loose-leash walking in many different settings, exposing her to different stimuli. And she let Kanga run and play with her own dog in many beautiful parks -- and even in the mud puddles that Kanga loves so much! Miri has a calm and loving presence and a great sense of humor around dogs. When we picked Kanga up, Miri taught us all the things that she had taught Kanga, and provided videos as well so we can keep up the good work. My friends couldn't believe the improvement in Kanga's behavior when we went for a walk upon our return. We have already booked Miri for our next vacation!
