Dogability Dog Training

Juan Galvis was a lifesaver when I rescued a new dog in January, sight unseen from Texas. When Pete arrived to my house he was a scared young fellow who could barely tolerate going out in public. After 4 weeks with Juan, he came home with newly found confidence. His ability to walk next to me on his leash, in a public place, was impressive, but I was more impressed by how quickly he had learned to go to his "place' and lie down until released. It was clear that Pete loved Juan and Juan loved Pete. Pete was so anxious to please Juan, and always with a look of adoration in his eyes. But of course we need the behavior to continue when the trainer isn't around. Juan is committed to "training the trainer" in the home. He gave so much of his time first explaining the theory behind his training, and then the techniques. I had worked with another trainer previously with a different dog and always felt judged when I didn't get the technique right. Juan was incredibly patient and never made me feel stupid. If I got it wrong, he just reviewed the technique again with me. It was easy to see why the dogs love working with Juan. So did I! And I'm happy to say that Pete has retained his training from Juan. Most importantly, Juan doesn't just end the relationship when the training period is over. He checks in to see how things are going, answers texts, emails, and phone calls. I took a chance on Juan when I found his website through a search. I'm so glad I took that chance!
