Doggie U K9 Academy

Doggie U K-9 Academy is an awesome place where my dog, who is fearful, has been able to flourish. We have done obedience, rally, leash walking, and canine good citizen classes before getting into agility for the last few years. I can say nothing but the best about the kind and caring instructors as well as the people I’ve met here. It’s a great place to bond with your dog. And my dog is well behaved due to all I’ve learned here. I highly recommend it!

The Beginner Obedience class I attended in no way matched the description given on the web site. The classes I attended were geared towards agility showing- not even close to what I was looking for with my puppy. Big waste of $ for me (and time). FOLLOW UP Multiple times I brought my puppy concerns (pulling, lunging) during the classes to the instructor- specifically asking for specific help/instruction. Perhaps 30 seconds of time at most was spent discussing with no direct practicing skills being provided. This class description (copied from your web site) needs to be revised as most of what is stated was not covered during the 6 classes I attended: "Beginning Obedience the class will help develop your dog’s self confidence and enable them to work under various distractions. Each 45 minute class will help develop a strong working and relationship bond between you and your dog. We will build upon the Basic Obedience commands (sit, down, stay, come, etc) and help you develop the dog’s attention skills. We will work on special issue, such as pulling, lunging, barking, etc. "
