Doggieville Ranch

A local business owner recommended Doggieville Ranch for my young pup and boy were they spot on. Trudy is the best! She is both firm and loving at the same time. I was reluctant to leave our younger puppy for 11 days but Trudy made it an amazing experience. She was so welcoming and open to multiple questions and any special requests. She was diligent about responding to any texts and posted sweet photos on social media so that we could see how he was doing. On pick-up day, we could tell that our pup was well cared for; he was clean and happy. I will definitely take him there again, whether it is for a longer trip, or just for some daycare hours. Our family welcomed a Mini Poodle puppy into our family a year ago. We are first time dog owners and really threw ourselves into training and classes but we were never able to socialize her well (pandemic puppy, sigh). We also wanted her to be trained better than our efforts were producing and to address separation anxiety. We decided we needed a professional, individualized intervention. We did a lot of research and decided she did not need an intense approach that some pups definitely need for severe issues, and based on a referral we reached out to Trudy and visited Doggieville Ranch. We were impressed with Trudy's experience, knowledge, passion, down to earth manner and home based, kennel free business. She was happy to accommodate Plum's specific sleeping arrangement/enclosure, too. We arranged for our then 8 month old puppy to do a 2 week intensive board and train. It was hard to turn our little girl over but it was worth it! Plum quickly adapted to her surroundings and over the two weeks became a member of Trudy's pack, befriending a huge German Shepherd, playing with dogs of all sizes and breeds, learning her place in a pack, and her basic training and skills were solidified. Trudy gave us updates, responded to us quickly with pictures, and we followed her adventures on Instagram too! Plum came home happy and healthy and we were given individualized, verbal and written guidance to continue the training journey. We understood that what happened afterwards was completely up to us! Our training efforts were so much easier and smoother, we really needed a professional to lay that foundation for us. Plum was able to enjoy playing with and communicating with other dogs and was able to make friends, she was so much more confident. It was 100% worth the investment in the next 15(?) years of our life together! Trudy was more than happy to help and follow up on all our questions afterwards. Our only regret is that we did not start training with Trudy right away at 3 months old. When we moved this fall, Plum stayed with Trudy for 5 days, another great decision! She enjoyed herself and it made moving so much easier. We look forward to doing some more boarding and updating her training this coming year. Thank you Doggieville Ranch!
