The Doggy Dojo is Connecticut's newest family-centered Training and Rescue Center, where we are more than just a playground or training facility – we're a community of mutual support and a family that's here to Train, Play, and Rescue with you. You can find our brick and mortar location, "The Dojo," nestled in the heart of Rocky Hill, Connecticut. However, our commitment to you extends beyond our physical space. We're dedicated to providing top-notch training and behavioral services wherever you and your dog are located. Whether you've just adopted a rescue or have a pedigreed puppy, "The Dojo isn't the only place your Doggy Dojo Training Program will take place".

Mike was instrumental in helping our family with our new pup, Lexi! We all so grateful to Mike is sharing his knowledge and experience. When we rescued our Chihuahua mix named Goose 6 months ago, he was scared of everything, distrustful of everyone, and reactive to anything that frightened him. We weren’t just looking for obedience training; we were looking for someone who could help our dog feel safe and confident. Mike has been that person and more. He doesn’t just train dogs. He teaches humans how to understand and support their four-legged family members. Every private session is tailored to your dog’s specific needs, whether it’s something simple like learning how to hold the leash properly or something more complex like managing reactive barking or helping a dog with excess energy find focus. Thanks to Mike our pup is more confident and playful. We highly recommend the Doggy Dojo to anyone who wants to build a stronger bond with their dog and help them thrive.
Mike is an expert! His knowledge and training techniques are incredible. It is so rewarding watching our dog learn and grow. What I love most is that as a dog parents we are learning and maybe more than our dog! The absolute best part is our dog loves going and gets super excited! Mike is one of the nicest people my wife and I have had the pleasure of meeting. We got our first puppy and wanted to make sure we were training her the best way possible. What we did not expect was that he was going to train us as much as he trained our little Minnie. Mike's love for dogs and passion for training comes through with every private lesson he teaches. Not only do we understand how to train our puppy, but we also learned the psychology behind why puppies and dogs think and act the way they do, which has made it much easier to anticipate and properly react to different things. The weekend socials are also a great space where we know each dog and owner is on the same page, and everyone can get together for some informal puppy social and structured distraction lessons! I highly recommend Mike and the doggy dojo for any dog and would choose him 100x over. He has become an integral part of our puppy family and we could not be more grateful.
