Doggy Jitsu

Daniel is a miracle worker! Our dog was a stray, and she is also a working breed (blue heeler), so she was extremely anxious and reactive to everyone and everything (especially other dogs). With Daniel’s help we learned how to best lead our girl! He taught us that we needed to be better pack leaders so our dog didn’t feel the need to be in charge. Now that our girl trusts us her behaviors are far better. Daniel also taught us how to help outr dog be in a calm state of mind. Now she is no longer anxious and can socialize with other dogs! She also tolerates her human siblings much better! Before Daniels help I thought we would have to rehome her, but thankfully she’s now forever a part of our family. I highly recommend Daniel from Doggy Jitsu!

My boyfriend and I, along with my dog, met with Daniel while he was in DC. Buddy, my dog, was reactive on leash and we were looking for some guidance on having more control. We were making the classic mistakes of avoiding situations where other dogs may be, repeating commands that weren’t being responded too, and not recognizing heightened anxiety. Within an afternoon Daniel was able to teach us how to more effectively interact with Buddy and how to be better pack leaders and walk with more confidence. It’s been several weeks now and the lessons learned in that afternoon have made significant improvements to Buddy’s behavior. Daniel is clearly passionate about helping dogs and their owners live more enjoyable lives. He followed up a few times after training, which was very appreciated. We can’t thank him enough for teaching us how to be better dog owners. We HIGHLY recommend Daniel, he is truly is an amazing dog trainer and great person! It was a pleasure working with him!

Hi! Daniel is a really great human being who no doubt has the professional skill set to successfully train your dog and help you build a wonderful bond with your best friend. Daniel is highly knowledgeable in dog phycology and is a great communicator which allows a seamless transfer of knowledge between Daniel and his clients. He’s very in tune with a dogs thought process/body language and teaches the owner how to work with their dog and how energy plays an important role with building a bond. I can attest to Daniel’s training skills. My adopted dog, Max, received his good canine citizen training by Daniel. Max is a smart dog with lots of confidence which makes him a great companion. He is crate trained and knows several verbal and hand commands. He is also a pro at agility courses. These skills Max has learned were attained with Daniel’s training and compassion.
