Dogifi Dog Training

DOGIFI Dog Training is awesome. I always knew we had a good boy. Lol A little sneaky or hard headed at times, maybe too friendly or nosey in public as an emotional support dog. But With DOGIFI and Liam’s hands on training/ guidance w Dussè and I, he actually differentiates when his service vest is on and we’re in public. More importantly he loves hearing marks and listens to commands. In addition to his service duties which include. Deep compression therapy, using three different types of blankets, to providing support through braces. Dussès abilities also extend to alerting me with nudges and interrupting nightmares. I have never owned a dog before but always loved dogs - I decided to foster from the local animal shelter and found a terrified, abused Pitbull/Staffie (15 months old) and after a lot of love, praise and affection, built her confidence back up so after 2 months, she was a LIVELY, gentle, sweet and confident girl – but with no boundaries. I had no idea how to do anything, other than teach her to sit, and leash pulling was a NIGHTMARE - lizards were the culprit and she pulled me over, into cars, boats, other people - I was DREADING walking her (61 lbs of muscle). I looked at a lot of dog trainers because my goal is to get her adopted out and then foster another dog and she was too much of a “wild child” to be adopted (yet) - they pretty much all had a standard package, certain things covered on "Stage one" (very expensive 10 lessons), then "stage two" another even more expensive lot of 10 (that is if I wanted to cover the issues I needed). I didn't want cookie cutter training sessions - I wanted to focus on the areas MY dog needed help with - and LIAM (bless his AMAZING heart) - said the words I wanted to hear - let me come meet your dog, evaluate her, we can discuss what you think are her issues and I will tailor design lessons for her - as many or as few as you want. He said (as I know), not all dogs are the same and every dog is unique - with unique problems, challenges etc., and his whole attitude was fantastic. He is so good that within a few minutes, he already had her walking properly and obeying him – (although she wasn’t like that with ME) – no shock collars, no prong colors, no shouting or harsh discipline – all with gentleness. We have had four lessons already, and not only has HE been working WITH her, but he's been showing ME how to work with her myself - so that going forward, if there are other issues, I most likely will be able to focus on those myself. This will come in handy for my next foster dog (if I can find the strength to adopt her out, as I am already in love with her.) I already notice a difference - from being unbearable on a leash, with new skills that I have learned on how to refocus her, redirect her etc she is much more manageable – although it takes a LOT of daily practice to get this to be second nature for her. It’s like learning a sport – you have the expert teaching but you HAVE to practice at home!!!! ALL his teaching is NON-PAIN - no prong collars, no shock collars, no punishment - IT IS ALL ABOUT POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT - unlike others who said I would need a prong collar or shock collars etc. I did NOT want anything painful or uncomfortable for her - after all she's been through in the shelter and her past life (abuse etc.), I ONLY wanted positive kind training and Liam is proving that this can be done! Just to be clear, my dog herself wasn't the problem - it was teaching ME how to communicate with HER, as she did not know what was expected of her - she doesn't speak English, I don't speak dog, and LIAM is showing me how to meet in the middle so that she understands what I want her to do. I LOVE his gentle training methods – he is SO supportive, not just when he's here with us, but responds to texts when I’m struggling and now I don't feel alone in this any more. Lulu and I are learning a lot about each other through Liam, he is an absolute shining star and heads and shoulders above the rest. He LISTENS to me when I voice concerns – he is like a dog therapist in so many ways, helping me and helping Lulu. She still needs a lot of work (i.e. practice) – but when I implement the tools Liam has shown me, she responds IMMEDIATELY and she is trying hard, as am I. This is quite a journey, and I am SOOO grateful to have chosen Liam out of all the dog trainers out there. He REALLY cares about the dogs and the owners and he wants us to have a happy, loving and obedient relationship. THANK YOU LIAM

I would highly recommend Liam if you are looking for a dog trainer. He is very thorough during his session and truly set Ki up for success. He made it easy for me to incorporate simple task into his everyday routine and have already seen significant improvements in Ki even on his first session. Ki is going to make an awesome service dog thanks to Liam I cannot thank Liam enough for his hard work and dedication.

We’re approaching the end of a five session package with Liam at Dogifi, and the behavioral changes have been outstanding. From the first session, Liam’s ability to both diagnose the root cause of my dog’s issues and then work with him to quickly create meaningful change was apparent. My dog suffers from anxiety issues and after just a few sessions, I was able to see significant changes in his demeanor, not to mention a better behaved and more obedient dog! Thanks Liam!
