Dognify

We recently adopted a new puppy (Daisy) and wanted to get her some training from the start as she was found on the streets and you could tell she had little to no training in her life. We posted to a local neighborhood group looking for a trainer and that’s how we found Jonathan and Dognify. We were initially looking for basic command training, leash skills (pulling), and dealing with food excitement. We reached out to Dognify and Jonathan was quick to reply and schedule time to meet Daisy. Jonathan met us at a local park in South Philly for an initial meet and assessment of Daisy. Jonathan provided initial thoughts and while she is a highly energetic and excitable pup, he did not have any initial concerns with Daisy which was great to hear. We could tell right off the bat that Jonathan was very knowledge about dogs and dog behavior. Jonathan was very honest and up front with us and noted that he specializes in training dogs with behavioral issues and past trauma, which Daisy did not seem to require. While he could provide the training we were looking for, he admitted we could find trainers specific to our need for a cheaper cost and provided us local trainers information. In our discussions with Jonathan we did note our hesitation with dog meets and dog parks with Daisy and she is extremely excitable around other dogs even when we are on walks. Jonathan offered to schedule some dedicated dog park time with Daisy and his local Pack - we felt extremely comfortable with Jonathan and took him up on his offer. Jonathan was able to quickly schedule the dog park training session the following day. We met Jonathan and his pack of 5 dogs at a local dog park and the experience was extremely beneficial for Daisy and for us. Once the pack got into the dog park and settled, Jonathan took Daisy to the vestibule for an initial meet with the other dogs through the fence. Once the pack leader gave his approval, Jonathan led Daisy into the dog park leashed. After the initial dog meeting, he was able to let Daisy off her leash. Each dog in the pack truly met the description you can find on the website - the pack leader, the enforcer, the playful dog, etc. We spent almost an hour in the dog park and got to watch Daisy interaction with each dog and learn about Jonathan talked us through different interactions and what he was seeing. Again while Daisy is high energy, he was pleased with the interactions and the experience overall gave us more confidence in getting Daisy more interaction with other dogs. We would highly recommend Dognify and Jonathan for any dog training needs - especially behavioral focused ones. As new dog owners Jonathan gave us the knowledge and comfort we needed as we were entering this new world of dog owners.

Jonathan has truly transformed my first dog, Douglas. As a former stray with a traumatic background, Douglas struggled with anxiety, resource guarding, and a strong prey drive. Thanks to Jonathan's patience and guidance, I've gained a deep understanding of Douglas’s body language and learned how to be an effective leader for him. The quality of life for both of us has significantly improved. When the opportunity arose to rescue my second dog, Jonathan was instrumental in helping me integrate the young pup into our home. It has been incredible to witness Douglas's growth and how warmly he has welcomed his younger brother—an experience I once thought was impossible. Thank you, Jonathan! Dignify and Jonathan have been transformative for our dog Patty and our family. We enlisted help for some behavioral issues with Patty and not only got a better behaved dog in the process but learned how to direct her energy and gained a skill to help her through any future issues. Jonathan is so knowledgeable, patient and kind and he is a pleasure to work with. We’ve also had Patty enrolled in weekly walks and runs and she has learned so much as a member of the Dognify pack!

It was amazing to have Amora and Nutella with Jonatan. His work is amazing and super structured, with many reports, tips and suggestions to work better with them at home. He helped me to understand better the dogs (and respect them) and my relationshipwith them, helping me to create a calmer and secure walk. He also helped me to note and understand their individual needs and accept that everything is a process, some days better than others (which helps with the feeling of frustration during training and day by day). My dogs love him and are really happy every time they see him. Having Jonathan with us was an important and crucial part in our adaptation process with the dogs in another country and still helps us because having dogs is a continuous process of learning and adapting.
