I contacted this company online, and the next day I missed a call from a number I did not have in my contacts. I don't answer unknown numbers because my spam calls multiply every time I have tried, but I did receive a brief voicemail from Dewayne. I actually checked my voicemail immediately (I usually don't mess with my voicemail, to be honest). I called right back, and received a text stating he was on the phone with another client and would call me back. Nearly an hour later, I decided to text because I would be unavailable for a bit and wouldn't be able to receive the call. He responded that he could call back and gave two possible times. He never called. Also, in my opinion, his texts were not very courteous (no please, thank you, sorry etc.). If he clearly doesn't care, I don't suppose he will be helpful. This being the third attempt at reaching a dog trainer (first said basically dogs will be dogs, no hope to change them; second was just way too busy to want to mess with my case & referred me to someone 4x the price; now this) it looks like my only option will be to rehome my dogs (husband doesn't support this option, very stressful topic, to be honest), or wait until one does something very bad first, to justify getting rid of them (and dealing with whatever consequences also go along with that). Very disappointing and upsetting. I imagine the dog training community is linked, and probably especially after this review, I'm SoL. But hopefully some other at-their-wits-end dog owners will find someone else who is actually considerate.

I have been through 2 trainers in the past with my 1yr old German Shepherd. He was uncontrollable. I spoke to Dewayne and said he could train him. We signed up for the board and train and picked up our boy on the 4th. I have to say for the 2 weeks that we've had him back, It was a complete turn around and my wife and I are extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dewayne and Dogs by Andy for your dog training!

We have been working with Dewayne for the past few months on getting our German Shepherd off-leash trained. My wife and I agree that this was a great investment. We are now able to walk him off-leash and can have him with us in just about any environment without worry or fear. He is obedient, well behaved and responds to our commands with ease. The best part is that we learned the skills ourselves and we now both feel like amateur dog-trainers who are constantly honing our craft. We can't recommend Dogs by Andy Greensboro and Dewayne highly enough!

We got a rescue dog who had never met a human for the first 6 months of his life. AThat made him very nervous and terrified of strangers. After having him for a couple of years, we were interested in the 10 week on/off leash training package, but to be honest, were skeptical about how well our dog would actually progress given his past neglect. I WAS WRONG TO BE SKEPTICAL. We worked with Dewayne and after the first couple of weeks, we were noticing amazing progress from George (our dog). After the 10 sessions, we were walking him OFF LEASH in Lowes with no issues and him obeying the commands. He is still a crazy cuddler and definitely a pet dog, but now we can be much more confident that he will listen to us and I can absolutely tell that he is more happy, more confident, and a much smarter boy! This was absolutely worth every penny and if you are on the fence, just hop that fence and get started now!

After 15 years in rescue, I pulled a dog from death row who was so abused that he turned on every family I tried to adopt him out to.
