Dogs on the Mark

I can’t recommend Scott at Dogs on the Mark enough. I want to move in with my boyfriend, who has two young kids, but my 13-year-old dog Finn has always struggled around children. One trainer told me that at his age there was nothing that could be done. Another wanted to charge me $2,500 without ever meeting him. Scott was completely different. He came to my boyfriend’s house and worked with Finn, my boyfriend, his kids, and me. Within minutes, Finn was responding to his commands. More importantly, Scott taught all of us how to interact with Finn in a way that set everyone up for success. He didn’t try to upsell us or push a long training package. He gave us practical tools we could use on our own. The change in Finn after just one visit was incredible. The kids became more confident around him, my partner and I felt equipped to handle situations properly, and Finn’s behavior improved dramatically. Scott gave us hope, confidence, and a path forward when we thought we were out of options. We are so grateful for his help and highly recommend him.

Scott was awesome! We recently had him come to the house to help with our dog's barking and anxiety. She is 6 years old, so I was a bit worried this would be a real endeavor. But, Scott helped us a ton in just one session! He taught us how to handle situations and use the tools to assist. In just a few days, we felt like we had a different dog in our home. The gains just keep on coming at this point! We even shouted Scott out on our podcast because we were so impressed! Our dog is happier and so are we!

Scott Burgess is absolutely The Best! Don’t waste your time and money on any other trainer or training. He is a true expert in the field with over 40 yrs of experience and we are so grateful that we found him! He’s a true professional who cares deeply about your pet. He drove 2hr each session to provide us with the most effective in-home no treats training techniques. Our 10wk old lab/husky mix puppy “Apollo”responded immediately to his training! He is 14wks old now and he’s so well behaved that he gets complements wherever we go! Thanks to Scott’s training , we feel in full control of our puppy instead of the puppy ruling our household. Scott’s knowledge has been instrumental in our puppy training and he provided all of our family members with tools needed to enforce and continue his techniques easily by ourselves!
