My parents bought me the puppy preschool class when I was at UNCW 10 years ago with my first puppy. Diane's training method caused me (and my roomate that came to the classes with me) to pay attention and really work on the homework -- best gift for a young person with a "college dog." I recently got my second crazy chocolate lab puppy and knew I needed dogtrain again to remind me how to properly train her. My husband and I attended the puppy class, and our crazy puppy is SO MUCH BETTER because we learned how to be consistent with commands and learned so many behavioral tips that helped tremendously. Diane can be strict (on humans) sometimes, but it's always with a laugh, and it's so obvious she wants the best relationship for the owners and dogs. If you want to let your dog run all over you, this class is not for you. If you want to learn how to be assertive and consistant with dog training, you will not find a better trainer in Wilmington. Check your ego at the door, and you will not be disappointed in the end!

I am really thankful that I found this place and Diane Gallagher, the owner. Her training and advice has changed our lives. We went from having a dog that was unmanageable to having a complete sweetheart. I give all the credit to Diane for training "US" on how to train our dogs. She is no nonsense and blunt, and her responses to the antics of dogs and owners and truly hilarious at times. We enjoy going to class with our dogs, because she always makes us laugh - usually at ourselves! I have never come home without a new piece of valuable knowledge, which has made our lives easier and our furry children happier. Highly recommend!
